Jin Kaicheng collapsed on the ground, in too much pain to utter a sound or even attempt to get up. He merely gritted his teeth as he stared at the man.
Assistant Zhang was astonished. He never expected his usually mild-mannered president to actually hit someone. That kick looked incredibly painful!
Zhou Congli smoothed the wrinkles on his suit jacket. "Are you going to talk?"
The man, dressed impeccably in a tailored suit, wore a gentle expression on his handsome face. He looked as though he were engaged in a peaceful conversation, completely devoid of the violence of the man who had just kicked someone to the curb.
Terrified, Jin Kaicheng stammered, "Y-you have to promise me first—"
"Mr. Zhou?" A surprised voice rang out from behind them.
The men turned to see a woman standing not far away. Lin Zhi looked at the person on the ground, then back at Zhou Congli, looking somewhat incredulous.
Zhou Congli instinctively walked over to her. "Why did you come downstairs?"
