Mr. Zhou quickly asked what had happened. After hearing the explanation, his face darkened. "Where is that damn brat Zhou Ye? Tell him to get in here!"
The butler hurried out to the courtyard to call for him.
Mrs. Zhou was confused. "What's wrong? Who called?"
Mr. Zhou was furious. "The police station! His girlfriend called the cops and claimed Zhou Ye drugged her at a hotel!"
Mrs. Zhou was shocked. "Lin Zhi? Isn't she Ah Ye's girlfriend? This, this..." Anxious and angry, she continued, "Can't they just talk things out? Why did she have to call the police? Besides, how could Ah Ye possibly do such a thing!"
Thinking back to the girl she had met recently, her impression of Lin Zhi instantly hit rock bottom. "Tell Zhou Ye to call her and have her drop the case immediately." She regretted letting the girl into the house last time; she should have just kicked her out.
