Evelyn Grant turned to leave.
Julian Sterling immediately ran after her and grabbed her wrist. "You'd better know what you're doing! You know exactly what my relationship with Ryan is. Now you're running off to marry him and having a baby? Have you even considered me?"
"Then when you were with Jane Jacobs, did you consider me at all?"
Before, Evelyn could still put up with it.
She thought if she just held on a little longer, she could win Julian's heart for real.
After all, they were husband and wife, and they'd known each other since they were children. She believed the foundation of their relationship had to be stronger than whatever he had with Jane Jacobs.
But Evelyn realized she was wrong.
Horribly wrong.
It turned out that in Julian's heart, she was nothing. She probably wasn't even worth Jane Jacobs's little finger.
