The mansion was massive.
Cold.
Empty.

Emily stood in the center of the living room, taking it all in.
"This is your room," Alexander said.
She turned.
"Separate rooms?"
He raised an eyebrow.

Emily smirked.
"Not really."
Silence stretched between them.

"You should remember one thing," Alexander said.
"This marriage means nothing."
Emily stepped closer.
Close enough to meet his eyes.
"Good," she said softly.
"Because I didn't marry you for love."
