Inside the grand dining hall of the luxury villa, Siwon was sitting elegantly at the long dining table. She looked breathtakingly sharp, wearing a rich, deep green velvet coat over a crisp black shirt. Her hair was perfectly styled, and her aura practically screamed power.
Mrs. Lucia, the head maid, moved around gracefully, serving her a meticulously prepared breakfast. Siwon lifted a delicate forkful of food, enjoying the quiet morning.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors burst open. Min-seok walked in, twisting his face into an expression of absolute disgust. He was literally holding his nose with his fingers.
"Yuck! Boss... why on earth is your car from last night stinking so bad?!" Min-seok whined loudly, looking genuinely traumatized. "It smells like a garbage truck died inside it!"
Cough! Choke!
Siwon froze instantly. The piece of food got stuck right in her throat, catching her completely off guard. Her cold composure slipped for a fraction of a second. A sudden wave of panic hit her face, her eyes widening slightly as she frantically tried to process this nightmare.
"That damn drunkard!" she whispered bitterly under her breath, her face flushing with pure irritation.
Min-seok, completely oblivious to his boss's internal meltdown, shook his head in pity. "Ah, never mind, Boss. Please eat your food first; otherwise, hearing about that smell will completely ruin your taste buds."
Siwon quickly swallowed, coughing lightly into a silk napkin to regain her balance. She cleared her throat, throwing her shoulders back as her icy, indifferent mask snapped right back into place.
"Ah... right. Whatever it is, just get it washed immediately," Siwon said, her voice tight but dripping with forced carelessness. She glared coldly at Min-seok. "Is that something to make such a loud scene about in the morning?"
Min-seok flinched under her sharp gaze, instantly straightening his posture. "Y-Yes! Okay, Boss! Right away!" He rubbed the back of his neck, awkwardly looking around the room to change the subject. "By the way... where is Mr. Nam? I actually have some urgent work with him."
Siwon picked up her coffee cup, taking a slow, elegant sip to hide the lingering tension in her jaw. "Mr. Nam and Richard are just about to arrive," she replied calmly, setting the cup down. "Then we go to look at our new branch building site today."
Min-seok nodded quickly, trying to sound as efficient as possible. "Yes, Ma'am! Just give me the orders; I am ready!"
Siwon looked up at him, her face twisting into a slightly irritated expression. She sighed, completely done with his morning drama. "Yeah, I know you are always ready," she said dryly, waving her hand toward the exit. "So go wait outside."
Min-seok bowed respectfully, not daring to say another word, and quickly walked outside.
Place: Valkyrie Ventures Headquarters, Seoul
The massive glass towers of Valkyrie Ventures stood tall in the heart of Seoul. The building reflected the bright morning sky, showing off a beautiful, gleaming logo of "VV" right at the top. The entire structure leaked pure corporate dominance. It was a physical manifestation of the Valkyrie Queen's global empire.
Inside the sprawling top-floor executive suite, the hectic noise of the streets completely disappeared. It was instantly replaced by a tense, professional silence.
Siwon walked through the double glass doors. Her sharp heels snapped loudly against the polished marble floor. A few workers were just finishing up the last bits of polishing work, leaving Siwon's personal office completely ready and spotless.
After performing a thorough, silent inspection of the entire floor, Siwon stopped. She looked at the final setup. A faint, satisfied look appeared on her face.
"Yes, nice work," Siwon said, her tone calm but commanding. She turned her sharp gaze directly toward Mr. Nam, switching instantly into her hardcore CEO mode. "Now, Mr. Nam, proceed with the interviews immediately," she ordered. "Assign the positions for all the hiring workers and employees. Complete this entire hiring session in just one month. I do not want any delays."
Hearing the strict deadline, Mr. Nam flinched slightly. A wave of confusion and panic washed over his face. He adjusted his glasses nervously, sweating at the thought of such a tight timeline.
"Yes, Ma'am, but..." Mr. Nam hesitated, his voice filled with worry. "I am returning to Korea after a very long time. The normal hiring process here usually takes at least two months to filter and select suitable workers. So..."
Siwon didn't even let him finish his sentence. She raised a hand, cutting him off smoothly. "So, hire more HRs," Siwon stated flatly. Her voice dripped with effortless authority. She looked at him like the solution was completely obvious. "Why do you take so much stress?"
Siwon walked back outside the building and briefly glanced at the workers finishing up their tasks. She shifted her focus to her team waiting near the entrance. Only Richard and her driver, Min-seok, were standing there. Mr. Nam remained upstairs inside the building, busy handling some urgent corporate paperwork.
Siwon approached them, her expression calm but decisive. She announced that she was going somewhere just for a drive. Turning her gaze to her driver, she demanded, "Min-seok, give me the keys."
Min-seok froze, looking completely shocked and panicked. "Ma'am, please let me drive you," he pleaded quickly, stepping forward. "I can take you anywhere you want!"
Siwon frowned, a flash of irritation crossing her face. "Did I ask you to take me?" she replied, her tone dropping into a dangerous whisper.
Min-seok shifted uncomfortably, shaking his head in a quiet 'no.'
"Exactly," Siwon stated flatly, extending her hand. "So why should you drive? Just give me the keys."
Seeing no other choice, Min-seok hesitantly handed over the car keys.
Richard immediately stepped up, adjusting his suit jacket and getting ready to follow her. Siwon turned her head back slowly, catching him in his tracks. "Where do you think you are going?"
Richard offered a genuine, bright smile. "Ma'am, for your protection... protection, Boss!"
Siwon let out a dry, mocking sigh, shaking her head in amusement at his drama. "My safety?" she scoffed, her voice dripping with pure sarcasm. "Yeah, your elite protection skills were on full display last night. Don't worry, no one is going to kill me here... except for you guys, with your sheer stupidity. So, stay right here. I am perfectly capable of protecting myself. Stand by."
Before Richard could whine or utter another word, Siwon turned on her heels. She marched gracefully toward her luxury car, unlocked it, and slipped into the driver's seat. The engine roared to life, and she drove away at full speed, kicking up a small cloud of dust.
Behind her, Min-seok and Richard watched the car disappear, their faces frozen in absolute shock and fear. They were left standing completely helplessly in the dust, wondering what their unpredictable boss would do next.
After driving a short distance, Siwon pulled over in front of a new cafe down the street. It was not a massive franchise, but it looked incredibly luxurious and elegant. The quiet atmosphere of the place looked absolutely perfect for resting and calming her irritated mind.
Siwon walked into the quiet, elegant cafe and took a seat at a comfortable chair right next to the large glass window. She looked out at the bustling street for a moment, finally enjoying a peaceful breath of fresh air.
The waiter approached her table respectfully, and Siwon placed her personal order for a fresh, cold coffee. But she didn't stop there. Switching smoothly into her efficient mode, she looked at the waiter to place a massive pre-order.
"Deliver around sixty cups of cold coffee and sixty burgers directly to the building," Siwon commanded calmly. "It is for the labor workers who are currently doing the polishing work inside the building. Make sure it reaches them without any delay."
The waiter blinked in absolute surprise at the massive order, his eyes widening before he quickly bowed deeply. "Yes, Ma'am!" the waiter stammered nervously. "But... it takes three hours to get all of this ready."
Siwon frowned slightly, her cold gaze locking onto him. "No. Make sure to hurry up. I want it done faster."
The waiter let out a helpless sigh, quickly calculating the kitchen speed in his head. "Then... at least two hours it takes, Ma'am. It is not possible before that," he pleaded softly.
Siwon nodded slightly, accepting the timing, and handed over her black card to settle the heavy advance payment.
"Ma'am, please send the delivery address to our mobile app directly," the waiter requested politely, processing the card.
"Okay, fine," Siwon replied indifferently. "You may go now."
The waiter bowed deeply once again and quickly walked away toward the kitchen to start the massive preparation.
With the order sorted, Siwon leaned back into her chair by the window, waiting for her personal drink to arrive. She finally found a rare moment of calm, completely unaware that the peace of this beautiful morning was about to shatter into pieces.
