Chapter 36 - Chapter 8 – Testing Limits (1926)

Josiah returned to the outskirts of the estate, where open fields and scattered ruins provided the perfect arena. Solar Titanium hovered beside him, golden muscles taut and poised. The air shimmered faintly as he began the warm-up: rapid punches, spins, jumps, each movement synchronized with the Stand. Hamon energy coursed through him, amplifying every motion.

Suddenly, a cloaked figure appeared on a distant ridge. Its aura radiated a suffocating darkness. Josiah's eyes narrowed. The figure moved faster than anything he had encountered. Solar Titanium responded instantly, fists raised in a perfect guard.

The enemy charged. Josiah struck first, sending Solar Titanium forward in a rapid Solar Strike, Hamon energy igniting each blow. The figure twisted, dodging, countering with a flurry of shadow-infused strikes. The Stand blocked and retaliated, fists moving so fast they blurred. The collision of energy and speed rattled the ruins, sending dust and stones into the air.

Josiah's mind raced. He improvised, combining feints with Hamon bursts, shifting weight and angle with every step. Solar Titanium followed flawlessly, striking with the force and precision of a seasoned warrior. Time seemed to slow in bursts, each movement deliberate, each response instinctive.

The enemy tried to adapt, but Josiah's combination of Stand and Hamon overwhelmed them. A final series of punches sent the attacker tumbling into a broken wall. Before Josiah could approach, the figure vanished into the shadows, leaving only a faint ripple of dark energy in its wake.

Josiah exhaled heavily, chest burning. Solar Titanium returned to his side, golden eyes glowing faintly. "They're learning," he muttered to himself. "And so are we."

The session continued long after the enemy had vanished. Josiah pushed Solar Titanium to new extremes: spinning midair, striking multiple points simultaneously, combining Hamon with rapid bursts of energy. Each motion, each attack, brought him closer to mastery. By nightfall, he was exhausted but exhilarated, drenched in sweat, and trembling with anticipation.

Hamon and Stand were merging into a single flow. Every strike became faster, sharper, more lethal. Josiah understood now: his strength would not just be measured by power, but by precision, adaptability, and creativity. The battles to come would test everything he had learned—and he would meet them head-on.
