GEORGIA POV.
My eyes opened slowly, though it was hard to tell if they were really open. I widened them, but couldn't see any light at all. I was in total darkness.
My hands and feet ached, and when I tried to move them, I realized they wouldn't budge. Pulling against my bonds, I felt that I had been tied up with thick rope.
I thought about what Jaime had done to me, and my heart began to race. Being tied up was going to be a memory that haunted me forever.
I had been kidnapped! Me. I never thought I would ever be kidnapped. Why did I run out like that to meet a stranger?
Was it really because of Nikolaj? Had I become so desperate to find him that I had lost my mind?
Was he okay wherever he was? Had he moved on? Was there someone else by his side giving him comfort? Would he ever come back, or would he just be a memory I shared with my kids and grandkids? I doubted I would even have kids if I didn't find Nikolaj.
