Chapter 7 - Chapter 5 :Six Years Later... A Return to Where It All Began

Six years had passed...

And in those six years, life had quietly reshaped itself.

Far from the chaos of their past, Naina and Maya had built a peaceful world-a world wrapped in soft lullabies, school bags, bedtime stories, and the innocent giggles of their children.

Both women had become mothers, strong and nurturing, carrying love and heartbreak in equal measure.

Naina's three children-two boys and a girl, and Maya's son and daughter, were now five years old. Their days were filled with sunshine and bedtime prayers. But even joy couldn't erase the shadows of loss that followed them like whispers from the past.

Three years ago, Naina's adoptive grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep. With her gone, a quiet emptiness settled over the family home. Yet, Nikhil, Naina's younger adoptive brother, remained a constant presence-growing closer to Maya, admiring her strength, and treating their mother as his own.

A year later, he found love. She wasn't a princess, but a hardworking woman who worked at their resort in Bangalore. They married in a simple ceremony under the southern skies, and Nikhil stepped up to manage the family business after their grandmother's passing.

But peace never lasts forever.

One afternoon, their mother quietly said, "I want to go back... back to where we began."

It was India she spoke of. The land they had left behind with aching hearts and unfinished rituals. Maya had never performed the rites for her late father. The memories were too raw, too bitter.

But now, it was time.

Time to go home.

Time to face the ghosts.

Maya secured a transfer and a promotion at her company's Indian branch. Naina, a respected multi-specialty doctor, moved her practice with grace and ease. The two sisters were finally ready to return-not just physically, but emotionally.

Meanwhile, life at the Malhotra mansion was shifting too.

Kavya was raising her daughter-now five-with tenderness. The little girl was adored by the entire Malhotra family, especially Sahil, who loved her fiercely... yet still struggled to mend what was broken between him and Kavya. Their relationship remained strained, stuck between pride and pain.

As for Kabir and Manik, the eldest Malhotra brothers-powerful, feared, and cold-hearted in the eyes of the world-still couldn't forget the women who had once entered their lives like fire and vanished like smoke.

They dreamed of them often.

Longed for them silently.

Possessed by a love they never fully understood.

Today, in Mumbai...

The airport buzzed with life.

And through the crowd came a sight that turned time back on its axis.

Naina, holding the hands of her three children.

Maya, walking proudly beside her own two.

And behind them, their mother-older, wiser, but with a spark in her eyes that hadn't dimmed.

They had returned.

To the land of love, betrayal, and destiny.

To the home of the Malhotras.

To the city where their stories had first begun... and where fate waited patiently to turn the page.
