Chapter 9 - Chapter 7: The Storm Behind the Silence

The silence in the house that night was louder than words.

Maya and Naina sat at the dinner table, their food untouched, their eyes distant. Their kids tugged at their arms, asking, "Mom, how was your day?" But no answer came. Just forced smiles and hollow eyes.

Their mother noticed, her heart twisting with worry. "What's wrong, beti?"

Both daughters replied at once. "Everything's fine."

A lie. But they had no strength to tell the truth.

Across the city, at a lavish villa bathed in shadows...

Kabir and Manik felt an eerie peace — they were close to the women who had haunted their thoughts for years. But obsession doesn't rest. It grows.

Unbeknownst to Maya and Naina, their daily lives were being monitored. Every move. Every detail. Delivered straight to Kabir and Manik like a twisted gift.

Maya's workplace. Naina's hospital rounds.

Nothing was hidden.

Then, the bombshell.

A file landed on Kabir's desk — a detailed report on Maya's life.

Two kids. A boy and a girl. His kids.

Rage boiled in his veins.

He stormed into Maya's office the next day, eyes blazing.

He slammed the file in front of her.

"Biwi," he spat, "why didn't you tell me about our children? I want them. And I want you."

Maya's world tilted.

Her voice cracked like thunder.

"You're no one to demand anything from me!"

"I'm your husband," he growled, stepping closer.

"You were a monster," she hissed, trembling. "You forced me into that marriage. You kidnapped me. You ruined everything. And now you want to take what's mine?"

Kabir's voice turned cold.

"If you won't agree, I'll take you to court. I'll get custody of our children."

Maya stood frozen, her heart racing.

As soon as he left, her hands shook. Her tears finally fell.

"I won't let this happen again."

She ran home — to her kids. To hold them. To protect them.

That night, she broke down in front of Naina.

Told her everything.

Kabir's threats. The confrontation. The fear.

Their mother was shattered.

But the three women stood together, stronger than ever.

Days passed. The calm before the real storm.

Then it arrived.

A court notice.

Kabir had filed for custody.

And worse — he won. Temporary custody of Maya's daughter, Dhurvi.

Maya's son, Dhruv, became a shadow. Quiet. Distant.

"Where's Dhurvi?" he asked again and again.

Naina's kids tried to distract him — but nothing worked.

Meanwhile, in Kabir's mansion...

Dhurvi smiled during the day, happy to have a father.

But at night, she cried into her toy.

"I want Mama…"

That night, her fever soared.

Kabir, panicked, called Maya.

"She's burning up. Please... come."

Maya rushed to her.

Dhurvi's fever calmed the moment she saw her mother.

By morning, she was better.

Kabir stood silent.

He handed Maya a legal document.

"Stay here. With me. I'll make everything right. I want us to be a family."

Maya stared at him, fire in her eyes.

"I'll stay. But only one way."

"My mother, my sister, and her children stay with me. We come as one."

A pause. Then a nod.

Maya returned home.

Told Naina and their mother everything.

No one spoke. They didn't need to.

They packed in silence.

They weren't just moving into Kabir's home.

They were stepping into the lion's den — not as victims, but as warriors. As a family that refused to break.
