Chapter 1 - When the Sorcerer King was Summoned

Prologue

A long time ago, the three goddesses created the Triforce - an artifact of immense power that could grant any wish to whomever possessed it. To protect it from evil, the goddess Hylia was appointed as the guardian of the Triforce, which lay hidden in the Sacred Realm.

For a long time, she safeguarded this power, but one day, dark demons and wicked humans, driven by selfishness and malice, desired the Triforce for themselves. They attacked the goddess Hylia. With the Master Sword, she managed to drive out and seal the evil. Yet the curse of malice ensured that the battle for the Triforce would continue for all eternity.

Thus, throughout the centuries, a hero was always born who could wield the Master Sword, along with a princess who carried the reincarnation of the goddess Hylia within her. But evil, too, was constantly reborn. Their names were Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf - though they were called by different names depending on the timeline.

At their side stood the Seven Sages, powerful beings with angelic powers who dwelled in the Sacred Realm and maintained the balance of the world.

One day, however, evil managed to penetrate the Sacred Realm and gained tremendous power. With this newfound strength, Ganondorf plunged Hyrule into chaos. To stop him, the Seven Sages split the Triforce into three fragments. One fell into the hands of Ganondorf, while the other two were entrusted to Link and Zelda.

To prevent Ganondorf's destruction, he was banished to another dimension. But before he could be sealed away, he broke the eternal cycle - by killing Link and stripping Zelda of her divinity.

Peace was restored, but the cycle was broken. And yet, there was still hope:

The Sages summoned a new guardian...

Chapter 1 - Nazarick

After a long and exhausting day, Ainz Ooal Gown appeared. He teleported to the 9th Floor, where Albedo was already waiting for him.

She bowed humbly before her master and beloved, gazing up at him with reverence. As she saw his face, her pupils turned into hearts, and her entire body flushed red.

Albedo: "Ainz-sama, I have carried out all your instructions. In just a few days, we will officially declare the Sorcerer Kingdom!"

Ainz looked at Albedo with his empty eye sockets, glowing with red light.

Ainz: "Good to hear, Albedo."

Albedo nodded and suddenly grinned suggestively. Ainz noticed her sultry smile and cautiously took a few steps back.

Ainz: "Albedo... what are you planning?"

Albedo: "Ainz-sama, please allow me to speak my thoughts."

Ainz nodded slowly.

Albedo : Ainz-sama... I've prepared a bath made especially for the two of us. I've gathered the finest perfumes from all across the kingdoms. There are also special oils... but the greatest surprise is that he'll see me... n...a...k...e...d... arghhh!

She turned bright red and screamed, clutching her cheeks with both hands.

Ainz: "Albedo!"

Ainz called out to bring her back to her senses. Suddenly, she became calm again and looked at him with a serious expression.

Ainz: "I appreciate your invitation for a bath, but right now, I must focus on preparations for the Sorcerer Kingdom."

Albedo nodded, regaining her composure. Ainz continued:

Ainz: "Albedo, please summon Aureole Omega - the leader of the Pleiades. She is to bring me my true Guild Staff."

Albedo: "Understood, Ainz-sama."

She bowed again, and Ainz teleported to his room.

Once there, he dropped onto his bed and sighed.

Ainz (thoughts): The past few days have been pretty stressful. I had to attend countless, boring meetings, organize the Floor Guardians outside of Nazarick, and still maintain security here. With so little staff, it's truly exhausting.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Ainz: "Come in."

The door opened, and Aureole Omega stepped inside. In her hands, she held the real Guild Staff - not the fake one usually on display.

She handed him the staff and asked politely:

Aureole Omega: "Ainz-sama, if I may ask - what do you plan to do with the staff?"

Ainz let out a dry laugh and answered with a rhetorical question that sounded more like a sarcastic joke:

Ainz: "What do I plan to do with it? Maybe use it... to travel to another world and conquer it!"

Aureole Omega looked at him, surprised. She didn't know the staff might possess such power.

Aureole Omega: "I see... Ainz-sama, your intelligence and power are far beyond me. Forgive my question."

She bowed deeply. Ainz sighed and shook his head slightly.

Ainz (thoughts): She didn't get the joke... oh dear.

Ainz: "It's alright, Aureole Omega. You may go."

Aureole Omega: "But Ainz-sama, you can't just leave for another world without an escort. What if... what if you don't come back?"

A single tear rolled down her cheek. Ainz sighed again. It was the third time something like this had happened recently. He considered explaining the joke but decided on a better solution instead.

Ainz: "Listen... you may come with me. As my companion. But you mustn't tell anyone."

Aureole Omega nodded excitedly. Ainz wished he could see her expression - but she wore a blindfold. Her elegant kimono in traditional Japanese style highlighted her noble aura. She specialized in holy priest magic, was level 100 - and the only human in all of Nazarick.

To Ainz, she was special. Just like Pandora's Actor and Shalltear.

Ainz (thoughts): There's a lake nearby... they say a lake monster lives there. We'll go, defeat it, and then return. Yes, that will be my way of ending this joke. A king must keep his word... or how did that saying go again? Ah, whatever.

Ainz opened the door. The moment it swung open, he was engulfed by a blinding light.

After a few minutes, the light faded, and Ainz found himself in a golden chamber.

Ainz: "What just happened?"

He looked around. The walls shimmered gold, the floor was made of white tiles etched with fine patterns. On the ceiling was a glowing triangle, and the windows were decorated with colorful stained glass. A pleasant, soothing scent filled the room. Ainz turned around - but Aureole Omega was nowhere to be seen.

Ainz's thoughts: Was I lured into a trap by an enemy?

He released the Guild Staff to test if his magic was still intact - the staff began to float on its own.

Suddenly, five small orbs of light shot through the windows into the room. They jostled each other, pushed one another aside, and bounced off the walls. To Ainz, they looked like harmless pollen dancing in the wind.

Nevertheless, he remained cautious. These light orbs could contain holy magic - a potential threat to him. So he activated the skill Negative Energy Touch, enveloping his body in negative energy. On contact, this energy would harm the enemy - potentially lethal, depending on the concentration.

Cautiously, Ainz took the first step toward a possible dialogue:

Ainz: "Spirits of Light - hear my words!"

The orbs stopped, ceased jostling, and turned their attention to Ainz.

Ainz: "My name is Ainz Ooal Gown. I am the Sorcerer King, ruler of the Sorcerer Kingdom, and one of the 41 Supreme Beings. So tell me - who is the summoner bold enough to bring me to this place?"

Ainz assumed he had been summoned - it was the only explanation for his sudden removal from Nazarick. Perhaps a spy had infiltrated the tomb. Or - worse - one of his own had betrayed him. Ainz stayed alert.

The orbs began to glow brightly - so bright, Ainz had to shield his eyes. When the light faded, five beings of light stood before him. They wore long, translucent robes, each marked with a different, unfamiliar emblem.

Ainz tried to identify the symbols - but they did not exist in Yggdrasil. They had to originate from another world.

He observed their faces. All looked the same: beards, bald heads, halos - but their faces did not sit on their heads. Instead, they floated above them like masks.

One among them stood out: he wielded a floating sword. And he was the first to speak.

Light Being with Sword: "You are Ainz Ooal Gown... so that is your name. Allow me to introduce myself: I am Raurul, Sage of Light. Tell me, Ainz Ooal Gown - how did you come to be here?"

Ainz: "You may call me Ainz. As for your question - I do not know. Moments ago, I was with my subordinate Aureole Omega in my chamber. But when I opened the door... I suddenly found myself in this... golden cathedral."

Raurul: "Hm... You are no longer mortal. Are you a servant of evil?"

Ainz chuckled quietly, almost amused.

Ainz: "A servant? Who would dare stand above me? I am a king. I serve no one."

As he spoke, his eyes glowed a threatening red. The four other light beings trembled in fear. Raurul cast a worried glance at them - but when he turned back to Ainz, his gaze burned with anger.

Raurul: "You dare to intimidate my comrades? You must be a servant of the dark lord Ganondorf. I will judge you with my sword!"

Ainz listened to Raurul's threat calmly. Then he burst into loud laughter. His aura flared - a strong gust of wind swept through the chamber, causing the robes of the light beings to flutter.

Ainz's thoughts: Oh dear, my emotion suppression just kicked in... good thing it calms me down again.

He slowly raised his skeletal arms and pointed at Raurul with a single finger - the gesture of a challenger.

Raurul: "Tch... I accept your challenge! Evil shall never prevail!"

Ainz: "Wrong. Good and evil... they exist within all of us. That makes us imperfect beings. The difference between you and me is this: I believe in true justice - and I shall enforce it!"

His eyes glowed once more.

Raurul: "An evil being preaching justice? Ridiculous! You're here to steal the sacred artifact. That's enough. You will be judged!"

Raurul's sword began to glow. He reached for it.

Raurul: "This sword is forged of holy magic. For an Overlord like you, it is deadly. Your execution is at hand, Ainz Ooal Gown!"

Ainz, completely unfazed:

"Oh... how interesting."

---------

Suddenly, a female voice rose-clear and commanding. At the same moment, Raurul and the four other light beings dropped to their knees-respectful, almost reverent.

Ainz's gaze shifted toward the source of the voice. Before him, a golden staircase appeared, leading up to a majestic throne. The throne itself was crafted from pure gold, draped above with a magnificent red canopy, ornate and worthy of a sovereign.

In front of the throne, a fat bull lay peacefully snoring-apparently a guardian who had missed the entire situation.

But seated upon the throne was a woman-majestic, exalted. A golden crown rested on her head. Her long, silky hair flowed down her shoulders in golden waves, yet her eyes glowed with an unnaturally deep crimson red. Her presence was stunningly beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that Ainz momentarily lost his composure-a feeling he thought long forgotten. But his emotional suppression kicked in and restored his calm.

The woman spoke in a soft, melodic voice:

Unknown Woman: "My name is Eurasia. I am the current guardian of the Holy Realm-and the one who summoned you."

She smiled gently, almost playfully.

Ainz: "Hmph... Took you long enough. So, what is it you desire from me?"

Eurasia grinned-broadly, though with a hint of embarrassment.

To be continued...
