Chapter 34 - Chapter 32: Love Birds

Winter Of Year 2010

It was a time when the world outside the walls of Kanishk's boarding school seemed distant and foreign. Yet within those confines a new chapter began to unfold. A chapter one that would alter the trajectory of his life in ways he could never have anticipated. Kashvi arrived at the school on an unassuming Thursday afternoon her presence immediately electrifying the atmosphere. With her long dark hair cascading over her shoulders and a smile that could light up the dreariest of days she was a vision of beauty and confidence. She had come to distribute gifts to the children of the nearby orphanage. Her philanthropic gesture a testament to her privileged upbringing. But it was her coquetry. The playful glances and lingering touches that caught Kanishk's attention like a moth to a flame. Unlike the other boys who fawned over her Kanishk remained composed. He was an enigma wrapped in layers of emotional turmoil. His indifference intrigued Kashvi. She found herself drawn to him for the very reason that he didn't seem to care about her wealth or status. In his eyes she was just another girl and that realization ignited something within her. A challenge perhaps or a chance to prove her allure. Meanwhile Samaira watched from the side-lines. Her heart heavy with jealousy and longing. She had always harboured feelings for Kanishk but his newfound obsession with Kashvi left her feeling invisible. The sight of Kashvi surreptitiously sharing her personal contact number with Kanishk sent a pang of despair through Samaira. It was as if she were watching the sun set on her hopes the vibrant colours fading into shadows. Determined not to be overshadowed Samaira intensified her efforts to get closer to Kanishk. She engaged him in conversations attempted to share moments that could bridge the gap between them.

But each time she reached out Kanishk's thoughts seemed to drift elsewhere lost in the allure of Kashvi. He was besotted and captivated by her sultry gaze and the chemistry that crackled between them. Each stolen glance ignited a passion within him awakening desires he had never fully acknowledged.
