Chapter 5 — Arrival in the Demon Slayer World
Darkness faded.
Cold wind brushed against my face.
I opened my eyes slowly.
"So… this is the world ofDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba."
The air here felt different.
Cleaner.
Sharper.
Much fresher than back in my world.
I looked around.
Dense forest.
Mountains.
Where exactly am I?
As I walked deeper into the forest, I heard the sound of breathing.

I followed the sound.
Then I saw him.
A boy swinging a sword repeatedly at a large rock.
Sweat poured down his face as he focused on his breathing.
I recognized him immediately.
"Ha…Tanjiro Kamado."
That meant I had arrived after the beginning of the story, when he was training underSakonji Urokodaki.

I stared at the mission list.
"…That escalated quickly."
Killing Muzan was basically the final boss of this world.
But the first mission was manageable.
Helping Tanjiro train for a while wouldn't be bad.
Maybe two months.
I stepped forward.
Tanjiro noticed me immediately.
"Who are you?"
His nose twitched slightly as he examined me.
Right… his sense of smell.
I scratched my head casually.
"Hachiman."
"Just a traveler passing by."
I pointed at his sword.
"Want to train together?"
Tanjiro hesitated for a moment.
Then he smiled.
"Okay!"
And just like that—
Training began.
We practiced breathing forms together.
Sword swings.
Footwork.
Sparring.
Tanjiro improved quickly.
His determination was incredible.
Sometimes I traveled to nearby towns to buy supplies.
Thankfully I had brought gold from my world, otherwise I would have needed to work here.
Days passed.
Then weeks.
Two months went by faster than I expected.
Tanjiro's skills improved visibly.
His breathing became sharper.
His movements more precise.
Eventually, the day came for me to leave.
"I'm going now," I told him.
Tanjiro looked surprised.
"You're leaving?"
"Yeah."
He looked down slightly.
"Will we meet again?"
I gave a small smile.
"Yeah."
"We will."
After walking away, I opened the system.
"System."
"If I return to my world, will time continue normally here?"
Ding. If host leaves, time in this world will return to normal flow.
1 day = 1 day.
Good.
That meant I could return later without breaking the timeline.
I looked back one last time.
Tanjiro was still training.
Determined as ever.
"Well then…"
"We'll meet again someday."
The system activated.
And the world began to fade.
