Chapter 238 - *Chapter 237: Varezes in Action*

"First, there's the message Serena sent back from Harrenhal. She met with the Green Man Elder on the Isle of Faces, and he expressed his apologies to us." Rhaegor's expression was a little strange: "The compensation promised by that great Green Prophet was delayed. Destiny chose a flourishing seed and cast it into the appropriate torrent."

Dragonzel's expression also became wonderful; he seemed to have remembered this matter. Well, he truly hadn't paid much attention to the Green Men's promise. To speak immodestly, in terms of magic, none of the skinchangers in the entire Green Men organization on the Isle of Faces, plus that Green Prophet leader Beyond the Wall, were his match now.

Their era had passed.

"Didn't Serena tell those old guys to speak plainly?" Dragonzel couldn't help but tease. He knew his daughter's temper; presumably, when that Green Man Elder spoke like that, Serena was already close to being sarcastically passive-aggressive.

Rhaegor raised an eyebrow: "Probably. Anyway, you know Serena; in her letters, she's always your sweet and lovely little princess. But from what I know of her, she was probably already going crazy after hearing that elder babble on and on. See, it seems she made that elder speak plainly."

Rhaegor continued, he even seemed to see the actions his sister might have taken on the paper she sent home. For example, demanding the elder speak plainly in no uncertain terms, or threatening him with a dragon, although the Varezes family members were generally more cautious about the latter.

"Serena politely asked that Green Man Elder to translate his words. Uh, simply put, the leader of the Green Prophets, that is, the Three-Eyed Raven I met, his original arrangement was for a Crannogmen skinchanger with Children of the Forest blood. That child had excellent talent and could definitely awaken the Green Prophet's ability, but it seems there were some problems in the North. That child was summoned Beyond the Wall before he could fully grow, and then there was no news of him again."

Dragonzel instantly stood up, startling both Ray and Rhaegor.

"Brother, what's wrong?"

Dragonzel looked silently towards the North, closing his eyes, as if trying to sense something.

"You foolish little brother, Igor, what's wrong? Don't scare your sister!" Daenerys frantically hugged her brother, who had suddenly rolled his eyes. Her exquisite little face was visibly anxious. No one understood her brother better than she did. Although Igor particularly liked to occasionally trick his sister, no one loved each other more than the two of them. No matter how many pranks he played or how many times he bluffed his sister, Igor would never do anything to embarrass his sister.

But her brother, who had just been playing happily with her, suddenly rolled his eyes and fainted in her arms, which truly almost scared Daenerys out of her wits.

"Sebastian, what are you still staring at? Go find Grandpa Evans quickly!" Seeing Sebastian also rushing over, sweating profusely, to check on her brother, Daenerys couldn't help but shout.

"He's fine. No need for Grandpa Evans." Sebastian nudged Igor, then checked his breathing, let out a long sigh, and slowly said, "He's asleep."

"Ah?" Daenerys's mouth dropped open. She had thought of many possibilities, but the one thing she hadn't expected was that her brother had the ability to suddenly fall asleep.

Sebastian pursed his lips, pondering whether to tell Daenerys about that matter. He ultimately gave up on the idea. After all, the fact that Igor had dreamwalker talent was merely Ray's judgment based on Igor's sleep-talking and the occasional hints Dragonzel let slip.

"Perhaps Little Brother is too tired, Daenerys. Take Little Brother to the resting room to sleep for a while."

"But Igor rolled his eyes…"

"This might be his sleep habit. Don't worry, Daenerys, Little Brother's breathing is steady, his heartbeat is also steady, and the whites of his eyes are fine. He's just sleeping."

"Oh." Daenerys then picked up her brother, carefully cradling the tiny Igor horizontally as she walked into the Hidden Sword Tower. On the first floor of the tower, there were several rooms with beds. During the children's training days, they ate and slept in the Hidden Sword Tower, but now it was quite desolate.

Igor only felt so tired.

But soon, his consciousness sank into a bottomless sea. He felt himself drifting, drifting, when suddenly, a wave surged, pushing him to a place beyond description.

An endless black sky above, an equally endless deep sea beneath his feet, and a colossal silver dragon, its wings spread as if to fill little Igor's vision, stood upon the sea, coldly gazing northward.

Igor struggled to climb onto an "island." Suddenly, little Igor seemed to see blurry images: he saw himself standing naked on bronze-colored mountains, saw his sister riding a horse with a longsword, and his father's dragon roaring deafeningly in the sky.

He saw blood-soaked figures falling from the sky, and more than one dragon making terrifying sounds.

"What did you see?"

Layers of majestic voices echoed throughout the indescribable place. Igor was surprised to find that he had never heard this language before; it was neither the Common Tongue nor any Valyrian. All the words seemed to pop out one after another, but he could still understand the meaning of the sentence.

Igor instinctively wanted to say something, but what came out was not what he had formulated in his mind.

"I saw the icy Heart of Winter, still stable. I saw pale figures frozen in an endless ice river, walls of aurora blocking the wind and snow. I heard a voice saying, 'The time has not yet come.'"

As these words were spoken, Igor seemed to truly see the scenes he described, but just as he was about to examine the pale figures closely, his vision was suddenly blocked by a silver body.

"Sleep, child."

The majestic voice came again.

Igor's consciousness blurred. He felt a strange force pulling him, constantly rising, rising, rising, until he lost all consciousness.

Dragonzel withdrew his gaze. Ray and Rhaegor ignored the sudden sensation of their blood boiling in their veins and looked at him with some unease.

"It's fine, still very stable, time hasn't changed." Dragonzel suddenly said out of the blue, then sat down as if relieved. "Continue."

"The Three-Eyed Raven's second gift was influenced by the Old Gods, or rather, destiny, or as Father would say, the world consciousness. He will respond in the dragon's bloodline and become the next Three-Eyed Raven."

Rhaegor said somewhat bitterly: "According to the Green Men's prophecy, that child might be the one in Miss Mylissa Blackwood's womb…"
