Several screens displayed digital versions recovered from the underground platform.

The lawsuits had ended before they truly began.
The claimant family and Elena's company had reached an agreement.
For the first time in months, nobody was fighting over the past.
Now they were trying to understand it.
Elena stood beside one of the boards, studying a faded route line that extended beyond the completed sections of the network.
The line ended near the coast.
Then disappeared.
Alexander walked into the room carrying a stack of printed reports.
"Still looking at that route?"
Elena nodded.
"It's the only section that doesn't make sense."
Alexander placed the reports on the table.
