Dark energy exploded across the sky.
Above the battlefield, a massive storm of purple lightning formed as the Void Titan raised its arms.
The air became heavy.
Even the ground beneath the city walls began to crack.
One of the Void Hunters shouted.
"It's forming a Void Storm!"
Kael looked up at the swirling sky.
"That does not sound good."
Nyra's voice echoed through the communication crystal the hunters carried.
"If that storm is released, the entire city will be destroyed!"
The Titan roared again.
The storm grew larger.
Lightning struck the ground around the battlefield.
Shadow soldiers ran for cover.
The Void Hunters rushed forward to stop the creature.
But the storm was already forming.
Kael clenched his fist.
The symbol on his hand glowed brighter than ever before.
"I guess it's time to try something new."
He raised his hand toward the sky.
Five portals opened at once.
The swirling Void lightning struck the portals instead of the ground.
Energy vanished into the gates.
Then shot back out from the others.
The Titan was suddenly struck by its own storm.
Massive bolts of energy slammed into its body.
The creature roared in pain.
The Void Hunters used the moment to attack.
Three blades of silver energy cut across the Titan's chest.
The monster staggered.
But it did not fall.
Instead, its glowing eyes locked onto Kael again.
Then something impossible happened.
The Titan began absorbing the storm back into its body.
Nyra's voice turned urgent.
"Kael!"
"That thing is adapting to your power!"
