Star Lion was born on a different planet from Earth, called Phoinix. On this planet, most of the species living there are named filigniavis.
This species is a perfect fusion of animals and humans, benefiting from the traits of both. They have bodies similar to humans, but in the case of Star Lion, for example, he has arms and legs covered in fur, along with fangs.
He has a maw instead of a human face.
They are very intelligent and have a special sense of smell that can detect intelligence, physical abilities, and other powers if present.
The population of this species has been divided by their "natur" and has created communities called "Families."
"Natur" is the term used to define their origin. For example, Star Lion was born as a lion, and from that, he shares all the benefits a lion has: strength, height, and instincts. The Families also have their own hierarchies. Star Lion was the son of a male and female from the top of the hierarchy, making him the cherished child of the Family and the next grand leader of them.
The Lion Family was the greatest Family on the planet. It was able to unite all the others to form a republic, help other planets, and was also defined by a great sense of justice.
But unfortunately, another Family called the Tiger Family was stronger and quickly gained a monopoly on weapons. With this in their hands, the Lion Family started to enter into conflict with them.
Under these circumstances, the Tiger Family started a war against the Lion Family. Additionally, for both Families, their partisans (from other Families) started to join them, merging into only one Family each.
Unfortunately, the Lion Family lost the war, leading to the extermination of almost all of them. However, they didn't let it happen without taking some of their enemies with them. The Lion Family was aware of the plans and what their enemies were doing, so they found something similar to a biological weapon capable of annihilating all species on the planet.
The Lion Family decided to send their precious child, Paxpeses, along with the Divine Spear of Ra—a powerful weapon that came from another planet and was gifted to the Lion Family after they helped a population in a civil war.
The precious child was sent to Earth, and the entire species was gone, leaving only one hope to live on.
The arrival of Paxpeses was strangely well received. He arrived on Earth approximately in the year 1800, during the Industrial Revolution.
He was sent as a baby in a small spaceship and arrived on plains that belonged to the well-known Star Family, which at that point in time was the richest family in the world, living in Great Britain. This was due to their innovations, which had built an entire empire of wealth.
Unfortunately, they were the last of the family: Samantha Star and Chris Star, who were incapable of giving birth. Doctors from all over the world, even the most brilliant ones, were saying the same thing. But something incredible happened on October 19th, 1839.
During their stroll around their field, they saw a fireball coming toward the field. Chris rapidly went to the crash site, also telling Samantha to stay away. As he got closer, a magic lance emerged from the crash and pointed at him for 3 seconds before falling. Suspicious, he tried to stay away from it, but then he heard the cry of a baby.
Confused by the situation and thinking that maybe the child inside was hurt, he tried to avoid the smoke from the crash. He saw a tail, then the figure of a baby. The smoke cleared away with the wind, and Chris screamed for Samantha to come quickly.
Chris was crying. Samantha, confused, looked at what it was and saw the child, then started crying too. They saw it as a message that God had listened to their prayers and sent them a little angel from the sky.
Samantha took the baby from another world. Even though he was not human—even though he was a strange chimera—they saw in him their love and their child.
Chris: "Samantha… This is incredible!"
Samantha: "Yes… it is! Do you want to name him, Chris?"
Chris: "Yes, I have one: it's Leonidas, our son."
Samantha: "Then that shall be his name."
Siny's note:
The lance, which is called the Spear of Ra, is from the planet Ares. The spear has its own thinking; the way it acted with Chris Star was defensive, to ensure that Star Lion was safe. When it noticed that Chris was not a danger to him, it dropped to the ground.
Samantha took their child to the horse-drawn carriage. At the same time, Chris searched for any information about the pod and saw a button, but he left it for later as he was excited to show the world their son.
By the time they were walking to the horse-drawn carriage, the lance started to fly and followed them to their mansion.
There, they called for a doctor to see if the child was healthy. The doctor was amazed to see the perfect embodiment of a lion and a human.
From that amazing discovery, he called for more doctors and scientists to analyze him, and during this, they saw how remarkable he was.
He was not just an evolution for mankind but perfection at its peak. By the time he grew, they started to notice how strong and intelligent he was. At 3 years old, he was able to speak, read, and even solve basic mathematical problems.
Then, when he reached 6, he was able to solve complex mathematical problems, invent new formulas, and even discover a new element. He was not just an alien; he was the messiah of God.
His entire life was under the investigation of all the scientists in the world. Being the embodiment of perfection, all of them wanted to learn how to become like him.
But he was humble. He had everything to make himself the king of the world, but he was humble, and this was due to his parents.
It was a Sunday, at 1:03 p.m., and Leonidas had some questions. He went to the living room and asked his parents.
Leonidas: "Father, why do the people love me so much that they admire me just for living? I haven't done anything incredible yet, and still they see me as a god."
Chris: "Son, the world sees you as a god simply because you are gifted. Maybe not in the way you wanted, but your mother and I know that there exists a power within you that can change the world."
Leonidas: "Right, Father, I understand. I am not from this planet, and I will probably have powers, but the love they share is maybe too much for me."
Chris: "Love is your strength. They share it with you not because they have some passion toward you, but because they see a great future. They praise you; they admire you for a reason, and I'm pretty sure there is a power within you that surpasses human imagination."
Leonidas: "But I'm divided. The power I have is maybe too much for one being."
Chris: "It's never too much. If God created you that way, it is for a reason, and the line between good and evil is fine but not invisible. Actions pave the future. The right decisions come from the heart and the mind, freed from all desires and even hate one may have, so never doubt it unless the person is truthless."
Leonidas: "Fine, maybe I'm wrong, but how can I always be nice and truthful to my close peers?"
Chris: "Your mistakes are the teachers of your life."
Leonidas: "Thanks, Father. I shall be as righteous as possible."
From these words, Leonidas wanted to study philosophy and psychology in order to understand humans and life around him more deeply.
Siny's note:
Star Lion is really tall—about 6.6 feet in height. I mean, he is not human, so that's a thing. Also, he has an intelligence equivalent to almost 190 IQ without powers—that, by the way, we will talk about later.
Leonidas had passed all the tests, and the scientists of the time relayed information about his powers. For that reason, they sent him to a place where he would learn about his powers in order to control them.
Physical Aspects:
Height: 6.6 feet
Weight: Approximately 550 pounds
Eyes: Brown, similar to a human's
Feet and hands: Similar to a human's
Powers:
Able to fly
Strength multiplier: ???
Extreme endurance
Super speed
From there, Leonidas was sent to the newest city in the United States of America—a city specialized in superheroes, called Neocity.
Leonidas was not very welcome in the city, and it's better to say that the International Institution of Heroes was not very kind to him.
He was famous and also considered the honored one, which unfortunately caused a lot of jealousy. When he arrived, he sensed it.
He didn't let it deter him; his will to help people was great enough to withstand that. After all, he is the god of peace, right?
The International Institution of Heroes, also called the I.I.H., has grades for each hero who has powers, and for some who don't, as well as for beginners and veterans.
Leonidas began to live alone in this city with the help of his parents' money and love. At 16, he started to go to the institution in order to understand more about his powers.
Leonidas went to the entrance of the building to register himself.
Leonidas: "Greetings, sir."
Receptionist: "Hello… you."
Leonidas: "I am Leonidas Star, and I wanted to register myself in the I.I.H."
Receptionist: "Well, Mr. Star, you need to wait until February to have the chance to apply. Until then, you have no permission to use your powers in public, even for simple matters."
Leonidas: "Sorry, but is there no other way?"
At this point in time, it was May of the year 1857.
Receptionist: "There is no other way to register yourself, sir."
Leonidas took a deep breath: "Fine, I'll be here next year."
Receptionist: "Well, can I mark you for a specific day?"
Leonidas: "It doesn't matter to me; just mark it for the earliest possible. Thank you very much, and have a great day."
A little bit irritated, Leonidas left the building, understanding that he could not seek problems or confusion that could probably cost him his chance to become a true hero.
Siny's note:
The "strength multiplier" is a term invented to better understand how some people are stronger than others. For example, the one that Star Lion has makes his base strength increase by the multiplier he possesses. Also, this power is a common one that exists in this world, and sometimes it's not visible, as some multipliers are so different, and some can even grow over the years.
The I.I.H. has the advantage of being one of the most technologically advanced places in the world, about a century ahead.
With all that time, Leonidas started to study the heroes all over the city—some rescuing normal citizens, others locking up criminals.
He was analyzing all their strategies and the faults they made, and that's also how he had an incredible encounter. It was a Friday, the 16th of August.
That Friday morning, Leonidas was secretly spying on one of the newest and also most favored heroes of the time: Ava Lance, also called Avalanche. That day, she was following a creature that was terrifying everyone on the streets and also causing a lot of damage in the city.
Leonidas had been following her since her first encounter with the monster, studying her ways of flying and going against the monster—the angles she took, the speed she used, and how she dodged in the air. It all fascinated him.
He was writing down everything he could while running, but the monster she was fighting made a powerful slap that threw her to the ground and weakened her, making it difficult for her to get up.
From that, the monster understood that he could eliminate her without any effort. Seeing this, Leonidas ran and protected her.
The monster tried to stomp on her and Leonidas. Leonidas lifted the foot of the monster with his bare hands without any struggle and sent the monster flying into a river.
Leonidas: "Are you alright, miss?"
Ava: "Yes, thanks, but stay out of here. You are not supposed to do that."
Leonidas: "I know. I'm sorry to intervene."
Ava: "I need to talk to you after that."
Leonidas nodded his head, and she went away to see if the monster was still alive. The monster was unconscious, and she was surprised by the impact he had made.
Ava came back to talk with Leonidas.
Ava: "You are the lion baby that comes from outer space?"
Leonidas: "Yes, ma'am."
Ava: "Why are you here?"
Leonidas: "I'm here to register myself as a hero in order to understand more about myself."
Ava: "A magic spear and being sent from another planet is not enough?"
Leonidas: "Sorry?"
Ava: "Nothing. Thank you very much for saving me, but I need you in the institution."
From there, they went to the building in order to see if Leonidas could still be registered or if he was going to be blacklisted.
Ava entered an office and told Leonidas to stay outside. Ava encountered her father, the director of the Legion Part.
Ava: "Good morning, Father."
Mr. Lance: "Good morning, Ava. Are you okay?"
Ava: "I am fine, Father."
Mr. Lance: "He is with you?"
Ava: "No, he is outside."
Mr. Lance: "Ava, we need to talk."
Ava: "Father, I am sorry."
Mr. Lance: "Look, I can't let you go on missions like that. The monster that almost killed you was the creation of Dr. Apolo. You know what he did in Russia—the disaster he caused with his creations. And you are lucky; this monster was a weak one."
Ava: "I understand that, but he almost destroyed the city."
Mr. Lance: "He can destroy anything he wants as long as he's not killing anyone. You could have stayed out of this."
Ava: "Maybe, but…"
Mr. Lance: "Not maybe! You could have, okay? You are young. I understand that you want to discover this world, but you are too young for that, and I don't want to lose you like your mother."
Ava: "Father, I'm sorry."
Mr. Lance: "You need to understand that the idea of you being a hero is not bad, but maybe it's too early for you."
Ava: "I understand, but maybe he can. Did you see him? He lifted the monster with one hand and didn't struggle a bit."
Mr. Lance: "I read a report on him. It says that the strength measurement wasn't working due to his high strength."
Ava: "Why didn't they already pick him?"
Mr. Lance: "You understand, Ava—there are protocols. We have to respect them."
Ava: "Please, Father, we need him for the institution, for the lack of heroes. The war against Holofolos weakened us, and we need someone strong—someone that can lift the sun for us."
Mr. Lance: "You… are right, Ava. You are right. Let him enter, but I don't want you on missions until tomorrow. This discussion is not ended yet."
Ava left the office and called for Leonidas to enter.
Siny's note:
Avalanche's Powers:
Super speed and can go faster than a bullet
Speed resistant
Able to fly
Physical Aspects:
Height: 5.4 feet
Weight: 171 pounds
Eyes: Brown
Leonidas entered and shook the hands of Mr. Lance.
Leonidas: "Greetings, sir."
Mr. Lance: "Hello, sir."
Leonidas: "Sir, I am deeply sorry for what I did. I am fine with being blacklisted or even registering myself later."
Mr. Lance: "Well, to your surprise, you are maybe welcome here. You and your spear—we have seen what you did and how you saved my daughter. The report on you says that your strength couldn't be measured that day."
Leonidas: "Well, sir, the instruments of measurement weren't working that day—maybe a malfunction."
Mr. Lance: "Do you know how many people the test didn't work for?"
Leonidas: "No…"
Mr. Lance: "None. The machine is almost indestructible; that machine is made with magic metal, and yet it didn't work on you. Look, tomorrow at 9:00 a.m., I want you here to fill out some papers, and then your training will start. And don't come with a fancy suit of yours."
Leonidas: "Yes, sir, I will be here tomorrow on time!"
Mr. Lance shook hands with Leonidas, stood up from the office, and went directly to his home.
The next day, Leonidas came to the office, signed every authorization he needed, and went to an arena, also called the training room.
At that point, he encountered many hero trainers from different regions and countries, from China to Central Europe.
They taught him how to use his powers and his spear. They also started to do some precise tests to learn about the spear and his strength.
Leonidas talked to the scientists and said that the capsule from which he came might contain some information about him and the spear. The capsule was not public for heritage reasons—Chris Star didn't want the public to take away his son's heritage—but now the capsule could be important for him.
Scientists from the I.I.H. started to investigate the capsule and found Leonidas's origin and his original name, Paxpeses. Then, they discovered the origin place of Leonidas and also his spear, which has the name of an ancient god.
Siny's note:
The world of Red Eyes is similar to your world, reader, but not the same. For example, some historical events happened differently than in your world.
The institution is a convergence of all heroes of the world, making some countries work together and also making peace between countries easier.
The Holofolos was an organization that wanted to take over the world. Their intention was to eliminate everyone who didn't have powers.
Also, the I.I.H. is the base of all knowledge in the current year of humankind, and their technology is advanced about 100 years. So, to be clear, in your world, their technology is quite the same as the technology you had back in the 1960s.
The mother of Ava Lance was one of the greatest heroes of the Holofolos war, and from that, Ava decided to take her mother's hero name.
The weapon of Star Lion always sticks with him, whether he wants it to or not. It can also support all the strength of the user.
As the scientists discovered more about Leonidas's origin, he was training his powers: how to fly and how to manage his strength in order to not hurt any civilians. After almost 3 months of training, he was able to be sent on missions of a new tier that was created from the arrival of Avalanche.
From this mission until this day, Star Lion was his name. Everywhere he went, he was considered the savior—from a catastrophe to a war, he was peace incarnate: kind and generous. He was there for all of them who needed help.
And this is how the legend of the god of peace was born.
From that, his story was so famous that the entire world had a museum dedicated to him. He was not just famous for his battles but also for the peace deals with countries and the way he united the world as one.
All of the countries decided to join the Union Nation of the Earth, also called the U.N.E., created by Star Lion.
Star Lion was invited to be the leader of the U.N.E., but he didn't want to, as for him, he was not worthy of this title and this responsibility.
He decided to respectfully take one great hero from each country and form a council.
Of all the countries, the only one that didn't want to join was the Empire of Blood, also called the Sanctry, which was the country with the most restricted laws and where all crimes against human rights could be committed.
Star Lion also reduced by himself over the years the total criminality by 95%. These stats were scientific from the I.I.H. Ah, and maybe if you wanted to know in what year our story is: it is in the year 2105.
The world was living in harmony; all the countries of the world were living in true peace. But the last 5% of the criminality was strong and sometimes caused a lot of trouble—as for example, the family of Dr. Apolo, the same family who created the monster that attacked Avalanche back then. Also, unfortunately, they killed the parents of the one who had the will to take on this legend. His name was Alexander Knight, and the incident happened when he was only 5 years old.
He was at home with his parents. The news was reporting that Dr. Apolo 6er had invented a new weapon that took over heroes' minds and put them in a berserk mode, killing people without hesitation.
Let's set the ambiance for this story. From now on, imagine the interior of a house: imagine the entrance of the house, then its door.
Now, let only the sound of the television warn the neighbors of the place where Alexander and his parents lived. They were to stay at home and hide from nearby heroes.
The parents of Alexander tried to find a place where he could hide. The contaminated heroes were Avalanche and Spitfire; both of them were great heroes, being part of the squad of Star Lion.
The parents found a place to hide the kid and searched the other houses. They saw that the heroes were invading the houses, killing the inhabitants.
They tried to hide too, but unfortunately, the heroes broke the door and started brutally killing the parents of Alexander—all of this in front of him, hiding in the pantry.
Right after killing his parents, Star Lion entered the house and quickly took down the heroes, leaving only a little child crying.
Star Lion heard a child shedding tears in the closet, opened it, and saw an innocent kid in fear of what had happened: his parents had been murdered in front of him.
Star Lion called for an ambulance and the police to see if everything was under control. The police talked to Star Lion and said that the child was now an orphan and that he had no more family members. Star Lion felt something strange about the kid; he went to talk to him and said:
Star Lion: "Are you alright, little angel?"
Alexander: "No, I want my parents back!"
While shedding tears.
Star Lion: "Look, buddy, can I tell you a story?"
Alexander: "What?"
Star Lion: "It's the story of a little boy who was sent here for a mission that he didn't know yet. Do you know what his mission was?"
Alexander: "What was his mission?"
Then, Star Lion started to create a bond with the child. Alexander was lost, but maybe he had encountered someone to guide him.
Star Lion asked for authorization from the psychologist if he could adopt the kid. They said yes, and Alexander was also excited about it—even if it was not his parents, he saw a great friend to help him.
Now everything is settled; the story can begin.
Siny: "Sorry, readers, for the large introduction, but it's necessary."
Siny's note:
Spitfire's full name is Jonathan Kingston; he is in the 12 Knights.
The 12 Knights is the highest team in the I.I.H., which has as its current leader Star Lion.
Spitfire, Avalanche, and Star Lion have energy.
The people who have powers sometimes have energy too. The energy is something similar to magic; the thing that is different is that if the energy overpasses a certain amount used, it doesn't kill and store it but leaves the owner of it unconscious for the same amount of time that he used it.
A large amount of the people who have energy are immortal; that is the case for Star Lion, Avalanche, and some other members of the 12 Knights.
Spitfire's Powers:
Can fire bullets out of him
Fireproof
Able to fly
Physical Aspects:
Height: 5.10 feet
Weight: 230 pounds
Eyes: Brown
