Jasper Sherwood paid Heather no mind, walking over to Nina Donovan to ask, "How are you doing?"
Nina nervously clenched her fingers. "We get the results in an hour."
Jasper took her hand and squeezed it gently, soothing her anxiety. "It's okay. We have to have faith in Misty. It can do anything, right?"
Nina's heart settled instantly.
'That's right. Misty can do anything.'
'It cured my illness and gave me a hundred billion.'
'But it was strange. The reward had come through, yet no matter how many times I called for Misty, it never appeared again.'
Nina Donovan pressed her lips together, her face unreadable.
'Even if its mission was complete and it had to leave, shouldn't Misty have at least said goodbye?'
'How could it just disappear so suddenly?'
'It left me completely unprepared.'
She turned her head and saw Heather staring at her without blinking.
Nina pushed aside her disappointment and forced a smile for Heather. "What is it, Holly?"
