After Ian Donovan came in, he didn't speak to Nina Donovan, instead finding a corner to sit down in by himself.
Hazel Shaw immediately walked over and asked, "Why aren't you going to say hello to your sister? You were an absolute wreck back then."
Ian Donovan's eyelashes fluttered, his expression sinking. "This is none of your business."
Hazel Shaw really couldn't stand Ian Donovan's temperament. He was like a pool of stagnant water; it felt like nothing could ever get a reaction out of him. And here she thought Nina Donovan's return would make him a little different.
But he was still the same.
Hazel Shaw couldn't be bothered with him.
And so, she failed to notice Ian Donovan's trembling hand or the way he snuck glances at Nina Donovan from the corner of his eye, ever so carefully, as if afraid to touch.
He was afraid this was all a dream.
For ten years, every time he dreamed, he dreamed of Nina Donovan. But when he woke up, her image would vanish.
