🌑 Episode 52
The Last Key
The battle erupted across the grand hall of Black Tower.
Gunfire echoed through the steel corridors.
Victor rolled behind a pillar and fired at the approaching guards.
"Ryan! Get Ariba out of here!"
Ryan grabbed Ariba's hand.
"Come on!"
But Ariba looked down at the silver device the Ghost had thrown to her.
It was no bigger than a flash drive.
On its surface was a single engraving:
"For A-17"
Lena quickly scanned it with her tablet.
Her eyes widened.
"This isn't just a key…"
"It's an encrypted core access device."
The Ghost blocked the Founder's attack with surprising speed.
"You've already lost."
The Founder smiled.
"You still believe that?"
Suddenly—
More guards poured into the hall from every direction.
Victor counted them quickly.
"There are too many!"
The Ghost shouted without looking back,
"Go! Don't waste the sacrifice!"
Ariba clenched the silver key tightly.
"No!"
"I won't leave you!"
The Ghost turned to her for just a second.
His expression softened.
"Your father knew this day would come."
"He trusted you."
"Now I do too."
Ryan pulled Ariba toward a side corridor.
"We have to move!"
Reluctantly, she followed.
Behind them—
The massive doors slammed shut.
The Ghost and the Founder were left alone.
A deafening explosion shook the tower.
Dust filled the air.
Lena stopped running.
"The upper levels are collapsing!"
Victor kept moving.
"That buys us time."
As they reached another control room, Lena inserted the silver key into a hidden terminal.
The screen lit up instantly.
ACCESS ACCEPTED
A folder appeared.
PROJECT PHOENIX – FINAL PROTOCOL
Ryan stared at the screen.
"This must be it."
Lena opened the files.
Instead of weapons or experiments…
There was a video.
Dr. Rahman appeared on the screen.
Ariba's father.
He looked older.
Tired.
But determined.
"My dear Ariba…"
"If you're watching this…"
"…then I couldn't protect you anymore."
Tears filled Ariba's eyes.
"You're stronger than anyone I have ever known."
"I never wanted you to carry this burden."
"But Phoenix cannot be defeated by destroying its buildings."
"It must be destroyed from its roots."
The video changed.
A world map appeared.
Dozens of glowing red points spread across different countries.
Ryan whispered,
"There are Phoenix facilities… everywhere."
Victor's face darkened.
"This isn't just one organization."
"…It's global."
Dr. Rahman's voice continued.
"The Founder is dangerous…"
"But he is not the beginning."
"He answers to someone else."
"The one we called…"
The Creator.
Silence.
Ariba slowly closed her eyes.
"So it wasn't over…"
The final message appeared on the screen.
Coordinates Uploaded.
Lena looked at the map.
"The Creator's location…"
Ryan asked,
"Where is it?"
Lena zoomed in.
Her expression changed.
"…It's not on any official map."
Victor looked over her shoulder.
"Then where?"
Lena whispered,
"An island."
"A hidden island."
Far from any country.
Far from the rest of the world.
At that moment—
Every monitor in the room suddenly switched off.
One by one.
Then a familiar voice echoed through the speakers.
The Founder.
"You've found the island."
A pause.
"Good."
"Because that's exactly where I wanted you to go."
Ariba slowly looked up.
Her grip on the silver key tightened.
"This time…"
"…I'm coming for you."
The Founder smiled through the darkness.
"I'll be waiting."
