The trifecta inside him answered at once, Solveign's red-gold pulses, Veyrath's furious elemental control, and the deeper Light of the Bringer of Light Gloves locking together until the rod in Grey's hand looked like the axle of some enormous burning machine.
When it slammed into the Goddess's side, the impact was nothing like before.
BOOM.
The Goddess didn't just take a step back this time, her entire body folded around the strike before she stumbled through the sky and nearly crashed into the Palace behind her.
The enormous golden projection caught itself at the last moment, one hand pressing against the upper structure hard enough to send cracks racing through reinforced stone, while Grey hung in the air several hundred meters away with a grin splitting his blood-covered face.
That grin faded slightly when she straightened again.
