Synopsis
Marceline is a pantser who writes dark fantasy stories, but when she hit a writer's block, she couldn't sleep for days and died of a stroke, regretting that she had not lived to see the conclusion of her book. With a twist of fate, this dying wish served as the key for her to traverse worlds, finding herself reincarnated as her book's villainess. As an author, this unexpected turn of events felt like a surreal dream come true - the chance to live her life through the eyes of one of her characters. However, a foreboding truth still remains: in most tales, villainesses meet their tragic end. Will Marceline be able to rewrite her story's destiny or she'll succumb to the narrative of villainy itself? Cover art by KurokamiAyato.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

The royal banquet bustled with chatters of nobility, its vast halls shimmering in golds and diamonds. The soft rustling of gowns and clinking of their glasses echoed in the air, exhibiting a display that exudes both grace and elegance.

However, in a secluded corner of the hall, a cluster of young noblewomen engaged in threads of gossips.

One of the girls leaned in, eyes bright with curiosity. "Have you heard of Lady Marceline?"

They exchanged clandestine glances and then a chorus of murmurs ensued. "Yes, we have heard of her! They say she was once a cripple, born without magical abilities, and yet now she stands acknowledged by the tower of magic!"

"The source of her mana was said to be peculiar, but rumor has it that she wields an array of magical abilities, some even speak of immortality!"

The young ladies gasped, jealousy reflected in their eyes. "Oh, how fortunate that lady is."

"Indeed! She is so talented that she even invented ground-breaking arcane tools to enhance our society!" exclaimed one of the girls. "That must be the reason why the Duke of the North holds her in high regard."

"But.. weren't her powers unable to mask her true nature?" Their expression darkened, gazing at the girl who had long, platinum blonde hair and shining emerald eyes, smiling sweetly at her guests. " The Crown Princess didn't seem to like her too."

Suddenly, a glimpse of flowing, silky black hair and piercing aurora-colored eyes emerged from the other side of the banquet. They quickly averted their gazes and began talking in hushed tones.

"Shh! She's here! Let's settle down now, ladies."

"It is an unspoken truth that Lady Marceline....is a villainess."

Moments after...

In the shadows of the grand hall...

"So, how does it feel, Marceline?"

The Crown Princess smirked, her voice reverbrating with unhinged excitement. She licked the blade of her dagger, her emerald eyes transitioning to black, sparkling with mischief as she fixed her gaze on the young lady standing before her. "Do you now regret bringing me into existence?"

"You..." Trembling, Marceline stood on unsteady feet, leaning against the wall for support. She struggled to catch her breath as she bought herself some time to think of a way to escape the monster's clutches. "Don't you think you're being too arrogant?"

The crown princess tilted her head to the side. "You are powerless in the world you've crafted with your own hands, my little novelist." She smiled menacingly. "I am the strongest being here."

Marceline's voice quivered, yet her aurora eyes held an unyielding resolve. "You are wrong!"

Suddenly, a surge of radiant, golden light enguled her entire body. She lifted her hand and a fountain pen glowed amidst her fingers, crackling with arcane energy. The blank pages of her magical book danced in the air.

"Because in this world..."Her gaze pierced through the fabric of reality and a twisted smile played across her lips. "I am a god."
