Upon reaching the mountain zone, vegetation became noticeably sparse. Most of the landscape was made up of steep, rugged mountain cliffs.
Some peaks even displayed distinct snow lines, their sacred white brilliance reflecting the daylight. The true treasures of Tianshan lay within the mountain zone and the glacier zone, untouched sanctuaries that had never been disturbed or harvested.
Fang Yu traveled throughout the mountain zone in search of places where Ice Elemental energy gathered. As for the snowfield and glacier zones, Commander-class demons roamed everywhere, Warrior-level demons were as common as stray dogs, and there were no Servant-class creatures at all. Entering such a place with only High-Tier cultivation was no different from delivering himself to their doorstep. Fang Yu had absolutely no intention of setting foot there.
His search continued for three days without him even noticing.
During those three days, he searched the mountain zone extensively. Whenever he was hungry, he had Little Flame Belle, his personal chef, grill some meat. Whenever he grew tired, he simply found a place to rest. Yet he still failed to discover even the slightest trace of an Ice Element gathering spot. Naturally, he fought quite a few battles during that time, though all of his opponents were merely Warrior-level demons.
It was incredibly frustrating.

The commotion suddenly grew louder. Only a few minutes later, a herd of enormous creatures covered in thick, impenetrable armor burst down the fog-shrouded mountain ridge. Their numbers were so overwhelming that they were enough to make anyone's scalp tingle.
Fang Yu looked into the distance and realized that the direction they were charging was directly toward him. It looked as though hundreds, even thousands, of Summoning mages had cast Beast Tide simultaneously!
These were Tianshan Roaring Bears, a Warrior-level species native to Tianshan. Among them were even Commander-level individuals whose bodies radiated a dark luster.
These demon beasts were long-time inhabitants of Tianshan, making up one of the largest populations on the mountain. They were mainly distributed throughout the mountain zone and the alpine meadow zone.
"Damn it, did you really have to charge this way?" Fang Yu muttered speechlessly. "Did I eat your food or dig up your ancestors' graves?"
He wanted to step aside and let them pass, but the surrounding area was completely open, leaving nowhere to avoid them.
What puzzled Fang Yu even more was why they were expending so much energy sprinting around when night was about to fall. It simply didn't make sense.
"Ice Phoenix Spread Wings!"
Fang Yu let out a cold snort. Countless tiny frost particles rapidly gathered, forming an incomparably majestic Frost Cloud Phoenix with sharply defined edges. When its four massive wings of solid ice fully spread, they covered more than a hundred meters.
Seeing the Ice Phoenix charging toward them, the rushing Tianshan Roaring Bears instinctively swung their mighty bear claws.
Bang!!!!
Under the concentrated assault of the countless Tianshan Roaring Bears, the Ice Phoenix's momentum was gradually weakened before finally shattering into countless fragments of frost.
Fang Yu frowned slightly. Their attacks had been too concentrated, greatly reducing the Ice Phoenix's effectiveness. It had only managed to kill a handful of them.
At first, those Tianshan Roaring Bears had probably regarded Fang Yu as nothing more than an insignificant little creature, not even worth paying attention to. They had simply intended to trample straight over him. But now that the human had actually dared to fight back, they could no longer tolerate it.
"Heavenly Ice Peaks!"
Glaciers that normally required centuries to form suddenly erupted from the ground, dragging everything around them down to a much lower elevation. The glacier was incomparably enormous, towering and stretching endlessly across the landscape.

As Fang Yu swept both hands forward, the entire glacier unexpectedly began to move.
With unbelievable force, the colossal mass slowly but irresistibly advanced, crashing straight toward the charging herd of Tianshan Roaring Bears.
The charging bears were hurled away by the impact. Dozens of them were overturned in a single strike, colliding with one another like a massive chain-reaction traffic accident. Pieces of armor flew through the air like shattered machine parts. Some bears tumbled, some slid across the ground, and others had barely managed to stop before being slammed away again by the bears charging from behind.
"Roar!!!!"
"ROARRRR!!!!"
The Roaring Bears were exceptionally cunning, making it nearly impossible to wipe them all out in one attack. Although they possessed overwhelming numbers, they knew how to use the terrain to evade danger.
The aura of High-Tier Magic was simply too overwhelming. A spell of this magnitude posed a fatal threat to them. Any demon with even a shred of intelligence would never allow a human capable of unleashing such destructive power to rampage freely among them.
A beast horde was never a group of gentle creatures. One deafening roar after another echoed through the mountains as the Roaring Bears leaped into the air, wildly smashing their massive claws against the glacier, punching one enormous hole after another into the colossal ice mass.
"Kraaa!!!"
At last, the glacier shattered.
It split cleanly into two enormous sections before crashing down on either side.
"Blink!"
The brilliant silver Star Constellation was completed. A teleportation formation appeared upon the snowy ground as tremendous energy surged into it. The next moment, Fang Yu disappeared without a trace.
He ran.
He really ran.
They were organized, disciplined, and unbelievably troublesome. Even if he exhausted all of his magic energy, he still would not be able to kill them all.
When Fang Yu stepped out of the teleportation array, he looked up.
Only to discover that there were still plenty of Tianshan Roaring Bears waiting ahead.
His aura was too obvious, and the teleportation distance had been too short. In such open terrain, escaping was far more difficult than he had expected.
"To hell with this!"
Fang Yu stomped heavily on the ground.
A magnificent wave of silver energy burst outward from him like a tidal wave. In an instant, every Roaring Bear within the surrounding area was cleanly severed into two halves.
"This place is far too restrictive," Fang Yu muttered.
A pair of frigid Frost Wings spread from his back. An immense propulsive force erupted from the icy wings, transforming Fang Yu, whose entire body had already become enveloped in frost, into a gigantic frost projectile brimming with explosive power.
The frost projectile slammed directly into the herd of Tianshan Roaring Bears. The freezing shockwave unleashed by the collision instantly froze and shattered seven or eight of the surrounding bears. The terrifyingly low temperature forced the entire herd to retreat and scatter farther into the distance.
Those cunning creatures deliberately waited until the overwhelming icy aura surrounding Fang Yu had dissipated before baring their razor-sharp claws once more and charging at him from every direction. The Tianshan Roaring Bears were incredibly fast. Once they burst forth at full speed, they resembled streaks of black lightning flashing toward Fang Yu.
