Another day...

[System Check-in!]

[Ding, congratulations, Host, for obtaining Magic Cultivation from Beginner to Burial: General Edition (Red)!]

'Huh? What kind of title is "from beginner to burial"? I'm not learning JAVA!'

Kaito looked at the book covered in intricate magical patterns and couldn't help complaining inwardly.

Even so, his actions were far more honest than his words.

Opening the book, he quickly skimmed through its contents and immediately realized how valuable it was.

It covered everything from the most basic methods of extracting magical power to advanced forbidden spells, eventually culminating in magical deification.

The entire system was astonishingly complete.

Anyone who mastered it could reach the peak of the Seventh Tier through magical deification alone.

For exceptionally gifted individuals, even reaching the Eighth Tier wasn't impossible.

'Good grief... if someone takes this all the way to the end, won't they basically become one of those Magic Gods from A Certain Magical Index?'

'Shizu is going to be thrilled. This can serve as a universal cultivation manual for the Jura Tempest Federation.'

Until now, the Jura Tempest Federation's cultivation methods had essentially been pieced together from various sources.

Hakuro provided swordsmanship.

Rimuru organized magical training methods.

And Kaito occasionally used his soul to activate cheats.

However, as the population of the Jura Tempest Federation continued to grow, Kaito could no longer rely on his soul to increase everyone's overall strength.

He had even considered creating a set of basic immortal cultivation techniques for the federation's citizens.

Unfortunately, after experimenting with the idea, he discovered that such techniques relied too heavily on talent and couldn't be widely popularized.

He had originally planned to spend some time researching a universal magic cultivation system.

'Talk about perfect timing. System, you get full marks for this one!'

[Hmph!]

"But this thing still needs to be divided into stages before it's distributed. Otherwise, if some ungrateful people learn everything at once, I'll be taking a huge loss."

The Jura Tempest Federation now had a population exceeding seven hundred million.

Among so many people, there would inevitably be a few rats hiding in the shadows.

Kaito certainly wasn't interested in monitoring such matters himself.

That was Ultima's job as Chief Prosecutor.

[Ding, Dimensional Gate charging complete. Anchor world coordinates?]

[Ding, anchoring world coordinates...]

[Ding, world coordinates successfully anchored! Based on Host memory retrieval, the selected world is What Do You Do at the End of the World? Are You Busy? Will You Save Us?]

[Does Host wish to begin the Crossing?]

'Ah... it's this world.'

The moment Kaito saw the destination selected by the Dimensional Gate, he immediately recalled the story from his previous life.

This world tells the story of a group of beings known as Visitors who traveled the universe aboard spaceships.

One day, they arrived in a world inhabited by creatures known as Beasts.

After wandering for countless years, most of the Visitors eventually grew tired of existence.

They no longer wished to continue living and shattered themselves into countless soul fragments.

Those fragments fused with the Beasts of that world and eventually gave birth to the race known as the Emnetwihts.

However, as the Emnetwiht population continued to increase, there were no longer enough soul fragments to sustain them all.

Worse still, those fragments gradually faded over time.

Without a solution, the Emnetwihts would eventually revert to their original Beast forms.

Faced with this crisis, some particularly clever people came up with a simple idea.

If there weren't enough soul fragments...

Why not kill the remaining Visitors?

Thus, the Hero organization was born.

The story's protagonist, Willem Kmetsch, was one of its trainee Heroes.

Moreover, his master was a Visitor.

Unfortunately, her soul composition wasn't pure enough to save humanity.

As a result, humanity set its sights on the final remaining Visitor.

The red-haired Elq Hrqstn.

A girl whose mental age was only around ten years old.

The final hope of her people.

Naturally, the last Visitor wasn't without protection.

The Visitor Guardians and the Three Poteau stood at her side.

The war that followed ended with Willem being petrified.

The skull that appeared in the anime was actually Ebon Candle, the last surviving member of the Three Poteau.

After fighting their way through countless battles, only Willem's junior disciple, Lillia Asplay, managed to reach Elq.

In the end, Lillia used the Holy Sword Seniorious, a weapon capable of bringing death to all things, to strike Elq and seal her away.

Of course, Elq never resisted.

Otherwise, nobody could have harmed her.

The tragedy was that although Elq's soul was shattered, it wasn't destroyed thoroughly enough.

The plan failed.

In the end, humanity still transformed back into Beasts.

The cruel truth of the setting was that humanity had been doomed from the very beginning.

Eventually, the soul fragments would run out no matter what.

That old scoundrel of an author had never written a genuine path to salvation into the world's foundation.

Humanity's final destination was always extinction.

Of course, everything above was merely background lore.

(Contains spoilers, but you've already seen them now, so I don't care anymore!)

The actual story begins five hundred years later.

The petrified Willem is discovered and awakened by new races that evolved from animals.

Since the surface world had become overrun by Beasts, Ebon Candle and Willem's former companions created floating islands in the sky.

And thus the story begins...

'Oh dear... Chtholly Nota Seniorious is still my eternal regret...'

Thinking of that, Kaito already had a plan.

After all, there was an old saying:

Kaito-sama has arrived, and good times are here!

This time, he intended to investigate alone first and call for reinforcements later if necessary.

"Hmm, before I leave, I need to find Vegapunk."

After speaking, Kaito vanished from his room.

The next instant, he appeared inside an underground research facility in Academy City.

"Oh? Newgate, why are you here?"

Kaito looked at Whitebeard in surprise.

"Gurarararara! I brought Seryu to see Vegapunk. You know how twisted that kid's worldview is."

"Oh, I see. Well then, you keep waiting. I'll go find him."

Kaito nodded and walked deeper into the facility.

The moment he entered, he spotted the famously tight-lipped Sentomaru.

"Ah!!! Kaito-sama!"

Sentomaru immediately jumped to his feet and saluted.

"Hahaha! Good work guarding Vegapunk!"

"It's no trouble at all. This has always been my duty."

"Excellent! Very energetic! Keep it up!"

"Yes!"

His Royal Highness Prince Kaito highly praised Sentomaru's dedication and provided important guidance regarding his future work.

After completing his inspection, Kaito turned toward the laboratory.

There he found Vegapunk hunched over a workbench, completely absorbed in his research.

"Vegapunk!"

"Hmm? Isn't this Kaito-sama?"

"What brings you here today?"

Vegapunk looked genuinely surprised.

In his memory, this perpetually idle man almost never visited the laboratory.

"Hehe, I just wanted to ask how the shipbuilding project is progressing."

The long-tongued scientist immediately puffed out his chest proudly.

"Kaito-sama, everything is progressing extremely smoothly thanks to Rimuru-sama's assistance."

"At present, we've completed thirty frigates, fifteen destroyers, five cruisers, two battleships, two aircraft carriers..."

"And one Titan-class battleship!"

"Benimaru-sama has already dispatched personnel for space-adaptation training!"

Kaito blinked in surprise.

He hadn't expected construction to proceed so quickly.

As expected of Benimaru.

Reliable as ever.

"Good. That's all I wanted to confirm. We're going to need them very soon..."

That's right.

Since this world was filled with floating islands, Kaito planned to make a truly spectacular entrance.

And this time, he intended to arrive aboard an entire fleet of battleships...
