Chapter 6 - Dabbling in Magic

When dablind in potions, I mainly used them to boost my stats, up resistances and whatnot, so I raised back my resistances back up to lv100 In no time, well, at this point I've lost the track of time, so a bit of time could be one second as much as it could be a couple of decades.

The thing with potions is that with it the harvesting hallway expanded yet get smaller, by that I mean it just turned into one world which contains only plants.

I had to redo all of my farms, luckily the farming equipment was unharmed, but once again… I redid all the farming plots and other infrastructure I built. Took me like 20 days for everything, telekinesis and transmutation are unrivaled in these cases.

Anyways, after finishing all that, I slowly found the plants.

The thing is this 'world' is full of all sorts of flora, be it with magic or not.

Thus my 'harvesting' skill grind was also very successful, since I've actually had to search for what I need this time.

A very fun thing about this place is that I can also actually ruin a plant just by harvesting it wrong, though thankfully only the magical plants.

As I said before, when magic is near, logic is far.

By the way the same thing happened with the ores.

I opened the door to a very wide world of only places where stuff like clay, ores and so on can be found, with only a well near the door.

But in the case of the merging of the ore rooms, it only happened when I opened the magic smithing room.

Since I was already very proficient in alchemy, combining my skills from blacksmithing with alchemy and turns out magic smithing 'ain't shit, I am a god and my ego is still thriving.'

Apart from that, within the magical section, there's about every craft that the non-magic side has plus the word 'magic' added to it with exceptions like potioneering or alchemy existing.

I also found a room on wandmaking.

.

Time to make a wand, I'll be a wizard, just you wait.

.

[A time skip later]

I made a wand, I'll be a wizard not, you can stop waiting.

The thing is that I can't really get into it the same way I can with crafting stuff.

It's fun, but it gets boring very quickly and I get distracted easily too.

It's still better than when I tried to learn how to wield weapons or wrestle, way better, but the problem of interest remains.

Another fun find was language making.

Yes, there is a place for that, the amount of books in the room is unimaginable, even compared to alchemy, which I still haven't finished reading all the books regarding alchemy.

After flipping through the books, there is one thing I understood very quickly, I'll have to learn a lot of languages.

Thus my routine was this, wake up, caloric bar for breakfast, alchemy, caloric bar for lunch, magic blacksmithing, caloric bar for dinner, language making, sleep, rinse and repeat.

For those curious, I did research on my own body to figure out what I need as precisely as possible and after a while I created the caloric bar, which gets me everything I need per day in 3 doses.

At some point I attempted to make a homunculus and succeeded, it was more like a golem, but I shaped it to be androgynous and ugly.

Why?

Because if I make it pretty, it'll be distracting, nothing is stopping me from adding vocal chords, mammary glands, visceral fat in the right areas as well as other organs if you know what I mean

I know I can, because I made a working brain that can receive and execute commands perfectly so long as it has enough info.

I copied down all that I know about crafting and harvesting and made the homunculi my servants while I focused on my own stuff.

I tried to get them to learn stuff for me, but I couldn't figure out how to make a homunculus learn on its own, that's a fun project I'm sure.

The heaviest one and my magnum opus as well as the only one I named is Chonky9, a bulging mess of muscles that can go faster than the speed of sound and is strength is equally impressive, plus it has the fastest reaction time, thus it is my best servant.

My other most impressive homunculus is nr.82, profession: chef, it has the highest dexterity out of all that I made and the only one whose dexterity surpasses mine.

The rest are just servants, carriers or have ultra specific or random roles, like mapping out the worlds I can access.

I know the worlds are infinite, but still, it's fun having massive maps, and a flex

I also made an array plus paper which together work like a gps.

Not that hard, but…

I started learning magic jewellery crafting, and now, jewellery finally gets a practical role.

I was most excited for spatial storage rings, since I hope to be able to cheese the system be putting a shit ton of stuff inside the spatial storage rings, slap on a doodle to reduce weight and boom, 1g ring has over 100 tons inside

I know that because after enough trial and error I did, also I used that knowledge to improve that gps array, now it's way cheaper, but more difficult to make.

A really fun thing with crafting is that I occasionally take breaks to just make stupid stuff, like a car that runs on anything, very literally. So long as it can fit inside the fuel tank, the engine will run.

Of course it uses transmutation and runes, since in this case I can't draw small enough rune circles where I need small mana circles, I mean I could use mana itself to draw (telekinesis), but that's boring.

It's an offroad car, with big wheels, armor everywhere where I could put the right kind of armor, even had a chance to try making reinforced glass while involving magic.

Now that I have assistants, its as if my speed increased multiple times over.

When something breaks down, I don't need to bother about the broken machinery, my homunculus fix everything for me.

But now I'm standing before a glass tube with a fetus inside. This is my first homunculus which should have the capacity to learn on its own.

I put my genes inside it so it seems right to consider it my child, though I don't know if the homunculus will have a gender or not.

Going against the order of life is a sin, since normally what'll be created is a soulless being

But I managed to make a blank soul, I've needed a lot of time to prepare, just the magic circles I've had to draw are bigger than most pre-magic cities back on Earth.

To be specific, imagine half of america, but covered in multiple magic circles, with multiple intertwining floors, going both below and and above the main one.

I've found this type of layering allows me to reduce to complexity of such massive magic circles, not without cost, but the time saved from racking my brain on how to compress multiple circles into one without them interfering with another circle is just a pain.

I still groan from that one time I once did just that, compressed a lot of magic circles into one and put it in, then the whole magic circle circuit stopped working, why?

Because some random circle on the other end of the circle malfunctioned due to the incorrect way mana started to flow into it, which was influenced by another whole chain of headache inducing problems.

To summarise, don't draw magic circles half the size of USA.

Good thing I have a assistants and telekinesis as well as a lot of blood I saved up.

When studying how to make the best spatial storage rings I've also head to learn about the concept of time and stuff that uses, so now I cast in on every jar of my blood I have.

As I watched the fetus, I notice slight movements once, that's ok, since that's the heart beating and the homunculus growing bit by bit.

Usually I'd rush the baby faze, but for this homunculus I let it be, not the first time I'm making a homunculus from a fetus and letting it grow, maybe why the others don't have the ability to learn is because their growth is rushed.

Who knows
