Damian told Caitlin to lead Lillie to a safe spot to wait.
"Eh? Damian, aren't you coming with us?"
Lillie looked very worried. She heard about the history of Rayquaza and Deoxys. She felt very bad for Deoxys. However, Rayquaza was very strong. She thought it was better if they did not get involved.
"I'm going to help Deoxys. What Rayquaza is doing is not right."
"But..."
"No buts, Lillie. If we want people and Pokémon to get along better, we must help in this way."
Damian smiled at Lillie.
"And please believe in me. I am very strong."

Lillie bit her lip. She knew Damian was a powerful trainer at the Champion level. But would it be okay in a fight between legends?

Caitlin led Lillie away to watch from a safe distance. She trusted Damian. He never did anything without a plan.

Damian held Lunala's Poke Ball in his hand. With both Mewtwo and Lunala, he could defeat this Rayquaza.
But Damian was not worried about this Rayquaza. This one could not even Mega Evolve.
For example, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza in the movie could fight against six Legendary Pokémon at once.
There was also the Mega Rayquaza from the XY special. It beat Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre with one move called Dragon Ascent. Those two were tired from fighting, but it still showed the power of that Rayquaza.
This wild Rayquaza was struggling against Deoxys. They were evenly matched. Even without Mega Evolution, it shouldn't be this hard.
There was even a video showing a very powerful Rayquaza fighting Deoxys. In Pokémon Generations, the main character rode Mega Rayquaza into space. He destroyed a meteorite and found a Deoxys inside.
That Deoxys was strong and could change forms easily. But Mega Rayquaza crushed it even without orders from the trainer. It was stronger the whole time. A final Dragon Ascent destroyed the Defense Forme of Deoxys. The two were not on the same level.
"I wonder if other Rayquaza will show up to interfere after this one loses."
Damian watched the fierce battle between Rayquaza and Deoxys. He was sure he could win if he commanded Individual 2.
This Rayquaza had a simple way of attacking. It just charged in and used Dragon Pulse. it used its high power and stats to fight.
But Rayquaza's natural power was very good. Deoxys hit Rayquaza three times, but Rayquaza did not care. It just roared and kept fighting as if it was not hurt. But if Deoxys got hit once by Dragon Pulse, it would be badly hurt or defeated.
That was the benefit of having high stats!
So, this Rayquaza was not weak. It just did not know how to fight except for charging blindly.
Defeating this mindless Rayquaza would not be hard. The problem was if stronger Rayquaza would come later.
As Damian was thinking, a Garchomp flew low and arrived in front of him.
"Damian!"
Cynthia and Nemona climbed down from Garchomp.
"Cynthia, Nemona, why are you here?" Damian acted surprised.
"Damian, is that Pokémon fighting Rayquaza related to you?" Cynthia asked directly. She stared closely at Damian's face.
"Tsk~ so you're here to blame me." Damian made a clicking sound with his tongue. "When something good happens, you don't think of me. But when this happens, you come to ask me questions first. Cynthia, you really are something..."
Damian mocked her.
Nemona felt embarrassed. Damian's words meant he had nothing to do with that Pokémon. Even though he was in an evil organization, Nemona felt it was bad to blame someone without proof.
This girl was still very innocent.
"If I was wrong, I apologize. But Damian, you—"
"I don't care about your apology, Cynthia. You're still acting very proud." Damian interrupted her. He knew she was a good person.
Cynthia's brow furrowed.
"And why should I have to explain anything to you? Cynthia, you really think too much of yourself. Are we even close?" Damian mocked her again and ended the argument.
"If you're asking for help, act like it. Aren't you actually here to get information from me?"
"So, you really do know something about Rayquaza and that Pokémon?" Cynthia looked serious. As she expected, Damian knew the story.
"Yeah, I do. So?"
"Damian, please tell us what you know. If they keep fighting like this, the entire city will be destroyed."
Cynthia took a deep breath and asked nicely. To stop the battle, they had to understand what was happening. If they were confused, things might get worse. Also, Rayquaza and Deoxys were too strong to stop with regular force.
"What does that have to do with me?" Damian grinned. He did not care at all.
"You...!" Nemona wanted to shout at him. Then she remembered he was in Team Rocket. She could not lecture him about being good.
"What do you want?" Cynthia was very calm.
"Let me think." Damian touched his chin. He looked Cynthia up and down boldly.
That direct look made Cynthia feel nervous. She had to force herself to stay there.
This guy...
Cynthia felt like Damian wanted to eat her!
"Tsk~ it seems you aren't ready yet. Let's do this instead." Damian moved his head. Telling them about the fight would not help much. "After this is over, how about you take a set of couple photos with me?"
Damian gave a wicked smile. He would post them on the Sinnoh League website. He imagined how the trainers would feel. They would be very upset.
"Couple photos..." Cynthia looked troubled.
She had been single her whole life. She had not thought about dating. Suddenly, she was asked for couple photos.
"Senior, this guy has bad intentions!" Nemona said. She felt ignored.
"..." Cynthia was silent. Damian was looking at her like a hunter looks at a prize. He clearly liked her.
"Is it just photos?"
"Of course."
"Can you guarantee that you won't..." Won't touch me or take advantage?
Cynthia was too shy to say the words, but her meaning was clear.
"Of course. Please trust my character, Cynthia. I am a very gentlemanly person."
Damian was very confident. Cynthia was silent.
"You really are thick-skinned," Nemona said. He was forcing Cynthia to agree and calling himself a "gentleman."
"I am a member of Team Rocket. People call us evil, after all." Damian laughed.
"As per our agreement, you should tell us the information you know."
"No problem. Let's talk about it." Damian looked at Rayquaza and Deoxys fighting in the sky.
"Rayquaza is a Pokémon that lives in the ozone layer. They think the whole sky is their territory. They drive out any creatures that come from space." Damian explained slowly. "And Deoxys is a Pokémon from space. So, you understand now?"
"Rayquaza wants to eliminate Deoxys?"
Cynthia and Nemona understood now.
"That's right. Rayquaza will not allow a space traveler in its territory. So, it will keep hunting it until Deoxys is dead."
It was lucky Rayquaza did not know about the core of Deoxys. Otherwise, it would have destroyed the crystal four years ago. Rayquaza is not the type to wait for enemies to come back.
"This..." Nemona looked at Cynthia. She felt lost.
What should they do? Should they help Rayquaza kill Deoxys? But Deoxys did nothing wrong. Should they help Deoxys? They were not strong enough.
Cynthia was speechless. She checked her phone. Steven said they still needed more time. Cynthia took a deep breath. She had to try! Even if she was not strong enough, she had to protect the city!
"Well? You two look quite lost. It seems you need some help?" Damian's smiling voice reached them.
"Do you have a way to stop Rayquaza and Deoxys?"
"Of course. I can help you defeat this Rayquaza."
Damian talked about "this Rayquaza" specifically. Only this one. If a stronger Rayquaza that could Mega Evolve showed up, it was not his problem.
Anyway, Damian did not want them to keep fighting. Deoxys would eventually lose because Rayquaza's power was too high.
But Damian had a plan. He liked Individual 2. Also, if a stronger Rayquaza came, he could use the chance to help Kyogre.
