"Yes, we met Damian and Caitlin in LaRousse City."
Cynthia and Nemona received a call from Steven.
"What is he doing in LaRousse City?"
Steven was very confused. LaRousse City was just a high-tech city that was not very famous. Aside from the Battle Tower, it had nothing special.
Steven was puzzled. He felt that Damian always had a strong reason for what he did. It was impossible for him to be there without a purpose.
"I am not sure. He said he is just here for a walk, but I don't think it is that simple."
"Mmh. Champion Cynthia, you and Nemona should head back to Ever Grande City first. Professor Sycamore from Kalos has sent some Mega Stones. Come back and look at them."
"I will tell the Officer Jenny in LaRousse City to be on high alert."

"What?" Steven asked in confusion over the phone.
"Champion Steven, Rayquaza has suddenly arrived. It is now right above LaRousse City." Cynthia's brow furrowed. She did not think it was good for a legendary Pokémon to suddenly appear above a city.
Most legendary Pokémon usually sleep or live in private places deep in the wild. There had to be a reason for Rayquaza to appear so suddenly.
"What?!" Steven was shocked.
"So it really came."
Damian looked at the green dragon coming down from the sky. He was not surprised.
Deoxys Individual 2 used its psychic power openly. This made Rayquaza very angry!
In Rayquaza's eyes, Deoxys was an invader from space. It was an invader that entered Rayquaza's territory and ignored it.

Deoxys also noticed Rayquaza. It opened its eyes. The first thing it saw was the powerful dragon charging at it very fast.

Rayquaza's roar echoed in the sky. It gathered energy in its mouth.
It was the Dragon-type move, Dragon Pulse!
The eyes of Individual 2 moved strangely. It felt a strong sense of danger. It stopped sensing and immediately flew backward.

A powerful dragon light went through the air. It was aimed directly at Deoxys.
Deoxys moved out of the way. It was fast and was ready, so it avoided the attack.
The Dragon Pulse missed and hit a house on the ground. The move exploded.
There was a loud sound and bright fire. A two-story house was destroyed by the flames.
In an instant, alarms rang throughout the city. On the streets near the explosion, people ran away in a panic.
Rayquaza did not care about this at all. It did not stop. It moved its long body and chased Deoxys again.
It fired many dragon lights at Deoxys. It used the move over and over again. Deoxys had to keep dodging.
It did not understand why Rayquaza was attacking so hard. Individual 2 had a gentler personality than Individual 1, so it did not attack back yet.
Instead, it used the crystal on its chest to send a peaceful signal to Rayquaza. However, Rayquaza did not want to listen.
"So fierce~"
Damian said as he watched Rayquaza attack.
Rayquaza had a very violent temper. Or maybe Rayquaza always wanted to kill powerful visitors from space.
Damian did not join the fight. Deoxys was very strong. It would be hard for this Rayquaza—which could not Mega Evolve—to kill Individual 2 unless Deoxys made a big mistake.
Damian and Armored Mewtwo went toward Caitlin and Lillie. The two girls had sent Damian a message when the explosion happened.
Right now, they were standing on a training field. An open area was safer than being near tall buildings.
If Rayquaza's Dragon Pulse missed, the buildings would break and fall down.
"Caitlin, Lillie, are you two okay?"
Damian arrived and asked the two girls.
"We are fine. But Damian, what is that?"
Lillie looked worried as she watched Rayquaza and Deoxys fighting in the air.
Deoxys had started to fight back now. It could not just let Rayquaza hit it. Rayquaza was trying very hard to win.
"Rayquaza and Deoxys. They are both legendary Pokémon."
Damian explained the fight between them. He explained why Rayquaza was so angry at Deoxys.
"Rayquaza is a bit too bossy," Caitlin said.
She thought Rayquaza should listen to see if Deoxys wanted to invade. Trying to kill the opponent immediately was very arrogant.
Lillie did not know what to say. She was not sure how she felt about Rayquaza.
In the sky, Rayquaza's Dragon Pulse missed again. Deoxys changed into its Speed Forme. It hit Rayquaza's chest hard with a Zen Headbutt.
Rayquaza roared in anger. Its body was pushed down and hit a large building.
The building broke and fell. A lot of smoke and dust went into the air.
Individual 2 stopped in the air and looked down. It changed back to its Normal Forme.
"ROAR~!"
A moment later, Rayquaza's angry roar echoed again. It flew out of the dust very fast and used another Dragon Pulse.
The light was very fast. Deoxys tried to move, but it was a bit slow. Its left shoulder was destroyed by the move.
Deoxys made a quiet sound of pain and flew back. It used Recover, and its shoulder grew back to normal.
Rayquaza charged forward again with another roar.
This time, Individual 2 did not run away. It moved forward to attack. Even though it was gentle, it could get angry too!
The two legendary Pokémon began a fierce battle.
Below them, the city was being damaged by the fight. Luckily, there were not many people in LaRousse City.
"Due to a battle between unknown Pokémon, all citizens please leave the city quickly and in an orderly way! Do not rush, do not panic!"
"Repeating! Due to a battle between unknown Pokémon..."
Officer Jenny's voice came from the city broadcasts.
Cynthia and Nemona were also helping the citizens leave.
"How could this happen? Why would Rayquaza start a fight with that Pokémon?"
Nemona was confused as she watched the fight from a distance. The most important thing was that Rayquaza could not defeat the unknown Pokémon.
"Also... they are way too strong."
Nemona was surprised. She had heard stories about legendary Pokémon from other regions, but she did not think they were this powerful. Now she saw that the city might be destroyed just from the shockwaves of the fight.
She wondered if Paldea had such strong legendary Pokémon. She had not heard of any. Maybe there were some in the Great Crater of Paldea?
Nemona thought about this. She was not born in Paldea, but she felt at home there. She moved there when she was eight. But she had not heard of legends like Rayquaza in Paldea.
Galar did not seem to have any either. Nemona's father is the boss of the Rotom Phone company, and that phone first appeared in Galar.
"Could you have done this, Damian?!"
Cynthia felt very worried. The city was a mess because of the battle. She immediately thought of Damian.
