Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Moon God Dragon Selene

"escape!"

When the cave dragons saw the terror of Acnologia, they had only one thought in their minds: to escape!

They used to think the monster was overhyped, but now they've finally come to terms with reality.

This monster is completely beyond their ability to fight!

"die!"

Acnologia let out a cold laugh, and a black dragon roar pierced through the mountain. The four dragons in the cave were instantly blasted to pieces, and the last two dragons were torn to shreds by his claws.

He opened his enormous maw and unleashed a Dragon Devouring Magic, instantly swallowing the souls of the dead dragons.

After completing all this, he transformed back into human form, his gaze sweeping over the bones scattered on the ground, as well as the corpses of children, and a surge of anger rose within him.

It was indeed an evil dragon, and it deserved to die!

...

On the way back, Acnologia suddenly thought of the name Janimus and slowly stopped.

He remembered that it was the dragon from Fairy Tail: The Cry of the Dragon, which he killed in the original story. The little girl lying on the ground should be named Sonya. When the dragon and the human were on the verge of death, Yanimus entered Sonya's body, and the two achieved coexistence.

Four hundred years later, Yanimus is unable to leave Sanya's body. In order to be resurrected, a series of events unfold in the Kingdom of Stella.

"Could it be that the dragon named Janimus might not be dead yet?"

Acnologia frowned slightly, then continued walking towards the position. If the dragon really wasn't dead, then it wouldn't be a problem to kill it again in the future.

Suddenly he looked up at the sky above the sea and saw a charming blonde woman with a hood and long, snow-white legs sitting cross-legged. Behind her was a white vortex, as if leading to an unknown space.

Acnologia raised an eyebrow: "Selene, the Moon God Dragon?"

He recognized the female dragon; she possessed lunar magic, could wield the power of the stars, and could freely traverse space, making her one of the more difficult dragons to kill.

"I am truly honored that Lord Acnologia knows my name."

The Moon Goddess Dragon Selene smiled slightly, carefully examining the man known as the strongest Dragon Slayer Mage.

No wonder it was able to slay so many dragons; it truly possesses an extraordinary aura.

Acnologia said calmly, "Speak, what do you want from me? If you want to be my enemy, I don't mind letting you die here."

Having experienced countless killings, his blood has grown cold. He no longer cares much about the plot; anyone who stands in his way must die, regardless of good or evil.

The Moon Goddess Dragon Selene smirked: "I'd like to know if you're human or dragon now. Your previous black dragon form was at the level of a Dragon King, so calling you a Dragon King would be more appropriate."

"Then why do you, as the Dragon King, stand on the side of humanity? I can clearly sense that your magic is full of evil and madness. You are no benevolent dragon."

Her goal is to eliminate all dragons and create a beautiful world for humankind, but Acnologia's magic tells her that the fiercest and most evil dragon is right before her eyes.

Acnologia threw her head back and laughed loudly, her voice full of disdain: "You self-righteous stupid woman, get out of here if you don't want to die!"

Judging a person's good or evil solely by magic is utterly idiotic. He has absolutely no interest in this month's dragon.

However, the moon dragon Selene was relentless, waving her hand and unleashing a burst of moonlight flames that severed Acnologia's path, the boiling flames transforming into a wall of fire.

Acnologia narrowed her eyes slightly, a hint of coldness in them: "You want to be my enemy?"

The Moon God Dragon Selene smiled slightly: "I also stand on the side of humanity, how could I be an enemy of Lord Acnologia? I just wanted to test just how strong you are."

"How boring!"

Acnologia sneered, his figure blurred, and the next moment he appeared in front of the moon goddess dragon Selene in mid-air, reached out and grabbed her neck, lifting her up.

"Now that you've seen it, are you ready for how you're going to die?"

His voice was icy, and he slowly applied pressure to his palm, causing the Moon Goddess Dragon Selene to feel suffocated. However, she did not panic, but chuckled and her figure disappeared.

The next moment, the moon dragon Selene appeared behind Acnologia and raised her hand, slashing a beam of moonlight across his back.

"This kind of attack is more like a tickle to me!"

Acnologia was slashed across the back, leaving him unharmed. He spun around and delivered a swift and powerful side kick, sending the Moon Dragon Selene flying thousands of meters before slamming her into the ground.

Suddenly the sky gradually darkened, and a bright moon appeared out of nowhere. The moon goddess dragon Selene had transformed into a giant dragon, resembling a fox, with nine enormous tails spread out behind her.

"A complete transformation?"

Acnologia was surprised; this Moon Dragon could actually do such a thing.

This isn't to say that she's incredibly strong, but rather that her ability to turn the tide of events is simply unbelievable.

"I am the divine dragon who wields the bright moon, so it is only natural that I have this ability."

The Moon Goddess Dragon Selene chuckled, "Then let's begin the second round!"

"This is truly interesting; the magical world really cannot be judged by ordinary standards."

Acnologia stopped worrying about it, spread its black wings, transformed into a black dragon, and let out a deafening roar.

The Moon God Dragon before him was a Dragon King-level being, and this peculiar ability piqued his long-lost interest.

"Moon Shadow Blade!"

The moon dragon Selene flapped its wings and rose into the sky, its body enveloped in the power of the moon, and instantly countless enormous blades of light pierced through the air.

"No magic works against me. If you really want to defeat me, come and fight me in a physical battle!"

Acnologia charged toward the moon dragon Selene, unleashing a terrifying magical storm that blasted away all the surrounding sand and stone buildings.

"I see!"

Upon hearing this, the Moon God Dragon Selene felt somewhat troubled. No wonder so many dragon kings had fallen at its hands. In this magical world, Acnologia was the nemesis of all magic.

Now that she knew Acnologia possessed this ability, she had no interest in continuing the fight. Engaging in hand-to-hand combat with such a tyrannical dragon king was not something she enjoyed.

"Then, Lady Acnologia, until next time!" She raised her hand and pointed into the air, opening a spatial portal, preparing to leave.

"You think you can just fight whenever you want and run away whenever you want? There's no such thing as a free lunch!"

Acnologia's voice was icy as she rapidly gathered magical power, the terrifying fluctuations distorting and scorching the space before unleashing a deafening burst of black energy.

The moon dragon Selene sensed the earth-shattering roar and, without hesitation, instantly traversed space, narrowly avoiding the roar that pierced the heavens and earth.

"He dodged it..."

She arrived at a plain, transformed into human form, and looked at the scorch marks on her arm. With lingering fear, she patted her full chest: "What a terrifying black dragon! A moment later and my life would have been in danger."

No wonder she heard that even the Red Dragon King Osta was severely injured. With such terrifying magic power and the ability to nullify magic, who could kill him?

"Most importantly, to possess such violent and chaotic magic and still maintain his rationality, his willpower is terrifyingly strong..."

The moon goddess dragon Selene rested her chin on her hand and pondered for a while. Judging solely by magic might be a bit arbitrary. She could sense that Acnologia seemed to have held back after learning that she was on the side of humanity...

She suddenly chuckled softly: "This strength is not much less than that of the Dragon Emperor of another world. With him, perhaps the human race really has a chance of victory."

If she could eliminate all the dragons without lifting a finger, that would be the best outcome, since she doesn't particularly enjoy fighting.

Acnologia, on the other side, didn't care much when the roar missed. After all, it was the only dragon that could cross dimensions, and it might still be useful in the future.

He was quite envious of that kind of spatial magic; it allowed you to go wherever you wanted.

I should take the opportunity to study it myself.
