Chapter 143 - Chapter 162: The Delegate’s Discovery and the Kuat Kinetic

The transition from the high-velocity drama of preventing a Mandalorian massacre to the serene, silver-grassed plains of Chandrila was a localized sociological pivot that Revan Shan met with a vintage academic waistcoat, a fresh batch of Naboo spice-latte pods, and a very particular brand of 11th-Doctor-esque "Managed Irresponsibility." As 41 BBY etched its name into the galactic archive, the "Prodigal Knight" decided that being 108 years old meant he had earned a rhythmic sabbatical from the Jedi Council's increasingly stiff neck.

The Holographic Stutter: A Meeting of Masters

Back on Coruscant, the High Council sat in a semicircle of profound confusion. Master Revan Shan had once again vanished from the Temple without filing a flight plan, a localized variable of unpredictability that Mace Windu found statistically aggravating.

"He has been gone for three months," Windu noted, his voice like grinding tectonic plates. "No reports, no signals. Only this."

He tapped a button on the central console. A life-sized hologram of Revan flickered into existence. Revan was wearing a ridiculous straw hat, holding a half-eaten donut, and scratching Calculus behind the ears.

> The Out of Office Audit:

> "Rhythmic greetings, Council! If you're seeing this, I am currently busy auditing the specific gravity of 'Stillness' and the thermal efficiency of a perfect sunset. According to my 3rd Doctorate in Sentient Sociology, you are all likely 12% too tense. My advice? Have a nap. If the galaxy starts exploding, tell the Force to leave a message. I'm currently 'Out of Office' until the books look tidier. Try to be nice, do good... and don't touch my chair in the archives. HK-47 has slaved a localized thermal detonator to the seat-warmers. Cheers!"

>

The hologram ended with Revan winking and blowing a raspberry.

The silence in the chamber was broken by a high-pitched, wheezing giggle. Grandmaster Yoda was clutching his cane, laughing so hard he nearly slid out of his high-backed chair. Master Yaddle shared a knowing, gentle smile. To the "New Guard," it was a scandal. To the "Old Guard," it was just Revan being a Maverick.

The Architecture of a Secret: Mon Mothma's Audit

While the Council grumbled, Revan was reclined on the porch of his Dr. John Smith seaside villa on Chandrila. He was currently elbow-deep in a bucket of local shellfish, auditing the rhythmic flow of the tide.

A small, rhythmic tapping on the porch stairs announced his most persistent visitor. Mon Mothma, now seven years old and already possessing the poise of a future Chancellor, stood there with a datapad and a look of terrifying intellectual focus.

"John," she said, her voice a refined chime. "I have audited your records. You claim to be a retired academic from the Mid-Rim, but your energy consumption patterns match a Kyber-Quantum processing array, not a domestic terminal. Furthermore, you move with a localized kinetic grace that is 94% consistent with the combat footage of the Jedi Order."

Revan looked up, sassing the child with a brilliant, 11th-Doctor-grin. "According to my 9th Doctorate in Advanced Mathematics, little delegate, you are far too smart for your own good. It's statistically dangerous."

"You're a Jedi," Mon stated flatly. "A secret one. Why?"

Revan sighed, the 12th Doctor's weary kindness settling over him. He sat her down and leaned in close.

> "Listen carefully, Mon. I am a Jedi, yes. But I'm also an Auditor. The Order follows the rules of the Senate. I follow the rhythm of the 96%—the good people who just want to live their lives. I'm here because I like your planet, I like your questions, and I like this latte. But the galaxy is getting untidy. Keep my secret, little delegate, and I promise you this: if you ever find yourself in a variable you can't solve—if the world starts to fail you—you contact me. I'll be the wall that stands for you."

>

Mon nodded solemnly, a secret alliance forged in the salt air. "I understand, John. I'll keep your books balanced."

The Kinetic Stress Relief: Screaming through the Stratosphere

When the weight of the "Future Shadow" became too heavy, Revan needed a different kind of audit. He spent his afternoons taking the Star-Sass and the Black Pearl into the high-altitude thermals of the Chandrilan sector.

> The Thruster Redirection Coefficient (\Omega_{t}):

> By his internal audit, Revan pushed the Star-Sass to its 2700 KPH limit. He performed "Gravity-Anchor Jumps"—using the Force to lock the ship's center of mass for a microsecond while the engines rotated around it. It was a rhythmic mockery of physics. Eleven (R2-B11), D6, and Chopper were all slaved to the same logic-link, screaming in a binary symphony of joy as they tracked the near-misses.

>

"Statement: Master, that 45-degree snap-roll was 100% likely to liquefy a standard meatbag's internal organs," HK-47 whirred over the comms from the Black Pearl. "Observation: I found the telemetry remarkably erotic. Please repeat the maneuver."

"Try to be nice, HK!" Revan laughed, snapping the ship into a Jump-Snap stutter that left local sector security droids auditing empty air.

The Sabbatical Routine: Fishing and Feline Tag

The remainder of 41 BBY was dedicated to the "Simple Variables." Revan spent hours on the water, utilizing his specialized Rakatan-fiber fishing line. He didn't use the Force to catch the fish; he used the Force to be the water.

* Fishing: He caught the local 'Silver-Finned Gliders,' documented their metabolic health, and kindly released them back into the blue ledger.

* Tag: In the evenings, the villa became a playground. Revan, Calculus, and Theorem played high-velocity tag through the rafters and gardens. Revan utilized Force Enhance and Parkour to leap between the silver-oak trees, a blur of laughter and black robes.

"Theorem, that pounce was 4% too wide on the pivot!" Revan would yell, dangling from a branch. "According to my heart, you're being unkind to your own momentum! Audit your hamstrings!"

The End of the Year: The Kuat Kinetic

As the year drew to a close, Revan decided he needed one more localized thrill. He entered the Galactic Starship Open in the Kuat System.

It wasn't about the money—the Maverick Trust was currently valued at 15.8 Billion Credits and outperforming the Banking Clan. It was about the audit of skill. Using a "disguised" version of the Star-Sass (masked with a localized holographic shroud), Revan and Eleven prepared to show the galaxy's elite pilots that according to his heart, speed was just a matter of trust.

"Status, Cortana," Revan whispered as the Kuat orbital ring came into view.

"Entry confirmed. Odds are 40:1 against us because the ship is registered to a 'Dr. John Smith'," Cortana reported. "And Master, I've flagged a report from Naboo: Sheev Palpatine has been appointed as a primary advisor to the Royal House. He is 41 years old. The shadow is officially in the room."

"Let it be there," Revan yawned, the chair reclining to the Calculated Nap Angle of 134.5 degrees. "Adventure is the journey, D6. And 41 BBY was a masterpiece of little delegates and silver-finned logic. Try to be nice, 40 BBY. I have a race to win."

He closed his eyes. The Maverick was 108, the books were balanced, and the Auditor was dreaming of a galaxy where the light finally learned how to move faster than the dark.
