Chapter 142 - Chapter 161: The Chandrilan Current and the Young Delegate

The transition from the politically charged deserts of Mandalore to the rolling, verdant tranquility of Chandrila was a localized sociological relief that Revan Shan met with a vintage silk linen shirt, a fresh jar of Corellian preserves, and a very particular brand of 12th-Doctor-esque grumpiness. As 42 BBY settled into the galactic ledger, the Maverick Master—biologically 108 years old but looking every bit the cheeky twenty-three-year-old academic—decided that the best way to audit the future was from the end of a fishing rod.

Coruscant was currently buzzing with a rhythmic irony that Revan found statistically hilarious. Qui-Gon Jinn had finally achieved the rank of Jedi Knight, and his first Padawan was none other than a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.

"Fate is remarkably untidy, isn't it, Calculus?" Revan murmured to the orange patriarch Loth-cat as they sat on the balcony of his seaside villa. "Those two are magnetically attracted to trouble. It's like the Force decided to pair a localized hurricane with a sentient protocol manual. Tidy, in a cosmic sort of way, but I'm staying right here by the water."

The Architecture of a Diplomat: Meeting Little Mon

While staying at the Dr. John Smith seaside villa, Revan spent his mornings at the edge of the crystal-blue surf. One afternoon, a young girl with flame-red hair and eyes that were already auditing the world with terrifying precision wandered onto the private beach.

It was Mon Mothma, six years old and already possessing the rhythmic poise of a future Chancellor.

"You're not supposed to be here," she noted, standing with her hands behind her back. "This is a restricted conservation zone. According to the Hanna City statutes, private citizens require a Level 4 permit for shoreline residence."

Revan looked up from his fishing pole, sassing the child with a brilliant, 11th-Doctor grin. "According to my 3rd Doctorate in Sentient Sociology, little delegate, statutes are just a localized way of saying 'I don't know how to share.' My name is John. I fix things. And you look like you have about forty-two questions and zero people to answer them properly."

The young Mon sat down beside him, her curiosity overcoming her sense of protocol. Over the next few weeks, the "Doctor" and the "Delegate" became unlikely friends.

> "Listen to me, Mon," Revan said one evening as they watched the sun dip below the horizon. "People will tell you that diplomacy is about compromise. It isn't. According to my 12th Doctorate, diplomacy is the art of ensuring the 96% of good people don't get crushed by the 1% who want to be in charge. True peace isn't the absence of a blade; it's the choice not to use one when you're the strongest person in the room. Always be kind, even when you have to be loud."

The Kinetic Audit: Screaming Through the Clouds

When the academic weight of "Peace and Diplomacy" became too heavy, Revan needed to bleed off the tension. He spent his afternoons taking the Star-Sass and the Black Pearl into the high-altitude thermals of the Chandrilan skies.

> The High-Altitude Velocity Coefficient (V_{c}):

> By his internal audit, Revan pushed the Star-Sass to its 2700 KPH limit, performing a series of "Zero-G Snap-Rolls" that had Eleven (R2-B11) trilling in binary terror-glee. He then swapped to the Black Pearl, treating the stock freighter like a localized stunt interceptor. He wove between the floating "cloud-platforms" of the Chandrilan elite, sassing the local sector security droids until their logic cores were 100% overheated.

HK-47, Chopper, and D6 watched the telemetry from the ground, cheering with a rhythmic fervor that sounded remarkably like a firing squad. Cortana and Miner recorded the maneuvers, adding them to the "Maverick Pilot's Guide" for future auditors.

The Sabbatical of Stillness: Fishing and Tag

The remainder of 42 BBY was dedicated to the "Simple Variables." Revan spent hours on the water, utilizing a specialized Rakatan-fiber fishing line. He didn't use the Force to catch the fish; he used the Force to be the current.

> The Rhythmic Aquatic Flow (\Phi_{a}):

> He sat in silence, auditing the vibration of the water against the hull of his small skiff. He caught the local 'Silver-Finned Gliders,' documented their health, and kindly released them back into the blue ledger. It was 100% efficient and 0% unkind.

In the evenings, the villa became a playground. Revan, Calculus, and Theorem played a high-velocity game of tag through the gardens and rafters. Utilizing Force Enhance and Parkour, Revan leaped between the silver-oak trees, a blur of laughter and black robes.

"Theorem, that was a 4% error in your pounce-trajectory!" Revan would yell, dangling from a branch. "According to my heart, you're getting slow! Audit your hamstrings!"

The Sovereign's Nap: End of 42 BBY

The year concluded with Revan slumped in his Sovereign's Command Chair on the villa's balcony. Calculus was asleep on his chest, and the juvenile Theorem was curled around his feet. The sounds of the Chandrilan surf provided a rhythmic white noise that kept the Maverick's mind in a state of "Tidy Meditation."

"Status, Cortana," Revan whispered into the salty air.

"The Maverick Trust has hit a new apex of 15.8 Billion Credits," Cortana reported. "Mon Mothma has successfully negotiated her first 'Bedtime Stutter' with her parents using your advice on peaceful leverage. And on Coruscant, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi have been sent on their first off-world mission. It involves a trade dispute. It is... remarkably untidy."

"Untidy," Revan yawned, the chair reclining to the Calculated Nap Angle of 134.5 degrees. "Adventure is the journey, D6. And 42 BBY was a masterpiece of little delegates and silver-finned logic. Try to be nice, 41 BBY. I have a feeling the audit is about to move from the beach back to the battlefield."

He closed his eyes. The Maverick was 108, the books were balanced, and the Auditor was dreaming of a galaxy where the light finally learned how to fish for its own soul.
