After dinner, Lina stepped outside into the courtyard to get some fresh air.
The evening had settled quietly over the little town. After another exhausting day of running the shop, she finally had a few minutes where nobody was asking her to restock a shelf, serve a customer or figure out how they were going to make enough money to satisfy the production team.
She walked a little farther from the villa and breathed in deeply.
The night air was cool against her skin.
Lina lifted her head and looked at the moon hanging above the rooftops. It was bright and unusually clear, its light spilling across the quiet courtyard and the trees beyond it.
She smiled to herself.
There was something rather pleasant about this sort of life.
It was tiring, certainly, but it was simple. Work during the day, eat together at night, argue over ridiculous things, laugh until everyone was too tired to continue and then wake up the next morning to do it all over again.
