Alastair's severed head rolled across the ruined parking lot before coming to a stop several meters away.
Despite having lost his body, his eyes were still open, and a twisted smile remained on his face.
"Hahaha... even though I lost, I have to admit, this is the biggest fight I've had in millennia." His eyes glinted.
"There's only so much I can do while I'm stuck in this pathetic meat suit. Next time, I'll skin you alive."
Henry walked over and looked down at him. "No chance."
Alastair's eyes shifted as smoke began to curl from his mouth. He was trying to abandon the vessel before Henry could finish him.
Henry immediately planted his boot against Alastair's jaw, forcing his mouth shut and keeping his head pinned to the ground. "Nope. You're dying here."
He pulled the Colt from inside his coat and aimed it directly at Alastair's forehead.
Alastair's eyes widened. He tried to force himself out of the vessel, but Henry kept his foot firmly in place. With the Colt pointed at his head, Alastair knew exactly what would happen if Henry fired before he could escape.
"Bye-bye."
Henry pulled the trigger.
The Colt fired at point-blank range, and Alastair's head went limp as the bullet tore through his skull. The smoke immediately stopped, and the demonic presence that had filled the parking lot vanished.
Henry lowered the Colt and looked around at the completely destroyed parking lot. "Well... that's one less problem."
[Demon eliminated.]
[Earned 40 SP.]
[You have earned Legendary Gacha.]
Henry stared at the notification for a moment.
Huh? Legendary?
He was genuinely caught off guard. He couldn't remember ever triggering a Legendary Gacha before, so whatever came from this one had to be something worth getting excited about.
A slow grin spread across his face as he looked down at Alastair's severed head.
Dean noticed the expression immediately. "Ummm... Henry?"
Henry looked over at him.
Dean glanced at the head, then back at Henry's unsettling smile. "You okay?"
Henry's grin disappeared as he turned away. "Yeah. I'm fine."
Dean frowned. "Then can you stop smiling like that? You're starting to creep me out."
Henry rubbed his face and sighed. "Sorry. Just got some good news."
Dean looked suspiciously at him. "Considering what you were just staring at, I really don't wanna know what you consider good news."
Sam looked at Henry with a confused expression. "But seriously, you're not human anymore, are you? Why didn't you fight like this the last time you were almost stabbed?"
Henry glanced toward the ruined parking lot before answering. "Because last time we were inside a church." He looked at Dean and Sam.
"If I'd gone all out in there, you two would've been buried under the damn church."
Dean looked around at the destruction surrounding them, taking in the wrecked vehicles and the ground that had been torn apart during the fight. "Yeah..." He nodded slowly. "Point taken."
Bobby, who had been looking over the destruction with his arms folded, finally shook his head. "You boys realize this whole damn parking lot is gonna be a nightmare to explain, right?"
Dean looked at the wreckage. "Technically, the demon did most of it."
Bobby gave him a hard stare. "So what, you wanna stay here and explain all this to the authorities?"
Dean glanced around at the destroyed parking lot, the wrecked vehicles, and the Impala sitting in the middle of it all. He didn't say anything for a moment before shaking his head. "Yeah, let's go."
Dean climbed into the driver's seat, and the others quickly followed.
Once they were back on the road, Bobby went over what they had found about Anna's grace.
According to the information they had managed to piece together, the grace had fallen somewhere near the town where Anna was born.
A meteor had reportedly fallen in the area on the same day Anna was born, which made the location suspicious enough to investigate.
If the object really was her grace, finding it could give Anna her powers back.
Anna sat in the back of the Impala between Bobby and Henry. She kept glancing at Henry, studying him with a mixture of curiosity and confusion.
After several minutes, she finally asked, "Who is your father?"
Henry looked at her. "My father?"
Anna nodded. "You're incredibly powerful for a Nephilim. Even compared to some Seraphim, there's something different about you."
Henry shook his head. "My father's just a normal human."
Anna looked surprised. "You're sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure." Henry leaned back against the seat. "I don't know why I became half angel, and I don't know where the angel side came from." He gave her a suspicious look.
"So don't start imagining some secret angel father hiding somewhere. I really don't have one."
Anna was quiet for a moment before looking at Henry. "When I get my grace back..." She hesitated before asking, "Would you come with me?"
Henry looked at her in confusion. "What?"
Anna gave him a small, uncertain smile. "After I get my grace back, would you come with me?"
Dean immediately hit the brakes.
The Impala jerked to a stop, and everyone inside was thrown slightly forward. Dean slowly turned around and stared at Henry. Sam did the same. Both brothers had the exact same expression on their faces.
When the hell did you charm an angel?
Henry stared back at them, completely confused. "What?"
Dean pointed between Henry and Anna. "Did I miss something?"
Sam raised an eyebrow. "Seriously, Henry, when did this happen?"
Henry looked at Anna, then back at the two brothers. "It didn't."
Anna looked equally confused by their reaction. "I only asked if he would come with me."
Dean stared at Henry. "Yeah, that's what I'm asking about."
Henry rubbed his forehead. "Can we please just drive?"
Dean turned back toward the road. "Sure."
He started the Impala again, still wearing a suspicious grin.
