Time has come for Walpurgis. As Shuna continuously checked Rimuru's new outfit and Rimuru was checking the pamphlet Simon made about the other demon lords.
A translucent foggy gate made of starlight appeared in the room and out walked a maid with green hair.
"Lord Rimuru, I have come to escort you to the venue for Walpurgis." Misery bowed before Rimuru and walked back into the doorway expecting Rimuru to follow through.
Rimuru followed her into the doorway with expectant but nervous thoughts, 'Simon is the one hosting the venue, I wonder what it'll look lik- oh my god.'
When Rimuru stepped through the door, he was in awe of the scene that unfolded before him.
The venue looked like a broken down palace hall that had a dome of coloured glass and stone. The dome was being held up by towering stone pillars and tendrils of fog.
In the center of the room was a round table made of stone. Rimuru took a seat and realized that the stone was simply an aesthetic choice cause they were comfy as hell.
This entire ancient cathedral like structure was drifting on a wave-like sea of fog that if you peered close enough into, you could make out the visage of stars and planets that looked close enough to crash into them.
Rimuru was truly impressed to the point he felt a little jealous and thought to himself, 'Say what you will about Simon, he might be a sociopath but goddamn can he pick a venue.'
Rimuru looked across from him and observed the first demon lord at Walpurgis, the crimson haired demon who's aura was beaming very steadily out of him.
'That must be Guy Crimson, he's the one closest to Simon and apparently the one I should piss off the least.' Rimuru assessed until great sage came in with a surprising report from Raphael.
{Analysis suggest the individual Guy Crimson has a power like Simon}
Rimuru: 'You mean he and Simon have the same power in some way.'
{Not likely. If my analysis is accurate then it's more accurate to say that Guy Crimson has been given this power by Simon. This power is acutely intrinsic to the grayfog, allowing him to enter and exit Eden at will}
Rimuru: 'Is it like the connection between me and Veldora?'
{No, it's more like mutual divine protection. It's not a complete soul bond but more of an mutual exchange of abilities.}
'So they are quite close.' Rimuru remarked in his head.
"Hello Slime, you've been staring at me for a while, is there something that you needed from me." Guy Crimson, noticing the calculating gaze on him had decided to tease with Rimuru.
"Oh uh sorry. I was just thinking about something." Rimuru, who was caught red-handed, tried desperately to explain himself.
"No need to panic. Simon has said quite a couple good things about you so I won't lay a hand on you… atleast for now." Guys teasing tone and words had sent a shiver down Rimuru's spine.
Just as that exchange ended, another person stepped out of the portal this time it was a giant man… literally.
'The giant king Dagruel. Simon says I shouldn't really carry about him for now.'
The next two that came in was the familiar pixie of the labyrinth and to her right was a white haired lethargic man who looked like he would fall over at any moment.
" Jeez Dino, can you act a little alive at least!" Ramiris scolded Dino for his lack of decorum.
" Jeez calm down little fairy, I just got off work. I'm not in the mood to listen to your whining." Dino said in a very lazy manner.
" Whining? WHINING! I am not whining, when have I ever been a whiner. And by the way, since when do you have work a day in your life…" Ramiris flew into a little rage coupled with some death threats and how she would kick Dino's ass.
But Dino simply ignored her, took his seat and layed down in his arms, 'Finally have some time away from Nyx, time to take a nap.'
But no matter how much he tried, each time he entered REM, it was as if Nyx's scolding shouts rang into his ears and forced him awake.
Rimuru watching the interaction between Ramiris and Dino had focused his attention on Dino, 'Apparently, that guy is in Simon care and employment.'
{Analysis shows that just like Guy Crimson, Dino also posseses power from Simon.}
'And here I thought I was the only one to have tamed a demon lord.' Rimuru thought jokingly to himself over Simon's action.
" So you're Rimuru Tempest." Rimuru was surprised by the sudden voice, he turned his head and found a blonde feminine guy with very sharp eyes. Rimuru had never seen him in person…
…But had seen him through Shizu's memories, ' Is this… Leon Cromwell?!'
Rimuru's eyes sharpened with a bit of anger, "You must be Leon Cromwell?"
Leon didn't immediately respond back but instead looked Rimuru up and down, "You look exactly like her."
"You mean Shizu? You know I made her promise that I would kill you." Rimuru spat out with disdain.
Leon simply turned around and slowly walked to his seat, "That can happen another time. Personally I have some things I want to discuss with you."
Rimuru watched Leon walk to his seat and calmed himself down, 'He's not my enemy at the moment. I have another prey to settle with.'
The next demon lord that walked through the portal was the bloody lord Roy, but Rimuru immediately noticed the anomaly associated with him or more accurately his surbordinates.
The maid standing behind him had a far stronger magicules signature than him, 'That must be Luminous Valentine. Openly acting as a surbordinate to her own surbordinate while secretly acting as a god in the shadows. She has the strongest political connection to Simon.'
Luminous noticed Rimuru's gaze on her and Rimuru immediately averted his gaze, but then his eyes went back to see Luminous with a smile and finger over her mouth signaling him to keep quiet.
But her gesture just confused him, 'Simon told me her identity was revealed at the last Walpurgis, why is she still staying in character?'
At that moment, a voice beamed into his head, 'Hello there, you're Rimuru correct?'
Rimuru: ' AHH, uhh yes. Are you Luminous?'
Luminous: 'Yes, I ask that you don't reveal my identity to the room.'
Rimuru: 'But… Simon told me that he revealed your identity at the last Walpurgis though. Didn't he?'
Luminous: 'Did he not tell you how he also erased the memory of that reveal in all the demons lords minds?'
Rimuru was now just stunned but also exasperated, 'Really, he's erasing more memories now?'
Luminous had to hold in her giggle at Rimuru's exasperated attitude, 'Most of the demon lords probably already figured out my identity from either my leaking aura or the discrepancies in their memories but I'd still appreciate if you kept it in.'
Rimuru didn't gave a verbal response but just kept himself quiet which was already an answer for the maid.
Not long after, the last three expected arrivals had entered the broken cathedral.
The sky Queen Frey, The destroyer Milim Nava and the marionette master Clayman.
Milim was completely devoid of her usual cheerful demeanor and had a very blank look.
Clayman was currently holding a three tailed fox in his arms and as he was walking, he hit Milim over the head which forced a silent gasp from around the room.
Rimuru looked at Clayman was undisguised disgust and ferocity, 'Clayman, I declare that you will be my prey today.'
