Even if the academy was under attack with such overwhelming numbers, the gap between the neutral faction and the Paragon faction was quite clear.
Nikolas didn't mind that. Instead, he felt quite relieved seeing him walk away with his gang.
"Finally, we can speak alone," Nikolas took John to the side, "tell me everything you didn't say in the message."
John explained how Mark gathered different academies and attacked. He explained his real purpose for doing that, and eventually Nikolas grasped the whole situation.
"So in other words, he doesn't aim to destroy the academy," he paused, as this point was quite important. And John slowly nodded.
"That changes everything," Nikolas seemed to be lost in thought, "that also explains something that didn't add up."
