The next morning, Ellen didn't say much as her fiancé was leaving on a business trip. Although she was still nervous, she tried to smile so he could leave calmly. She even managed to help him pack a few extra items.
Even at breakfast, she still cracked jokes as usual to cover up her sadness. Because Flint was always sensitive to her, she tried her best to think of ways to make it difficult for him to read her thoughts.
"Flint, when you get there, don't forget to call me."
Flint nodded, gently stroking his fiancée's head. "You've told me that five times. I'm not senile."
Ellen laughed awkwardly, feeding her still-cheerful fiancé some omelet rice. "I was just reminding you so you wouldn't forget about me." She glanced at the ticking clock for a moment. "Speaking of which, we have to hurry. You're going to miss your flight."
