Ellen and Janice were focused on the CEO, who was busy welcoming other important guests who had joined them for today's simple dinner. Ellen's brilliant idea was to pour half of Janice's beer into her glass. She asked the waiter for an empty, medium-sized glass so she could drink as much beer as she wanted without the CEO noticing.
Janice actually didn't mind sharing her beer with the team leader. In fact, she felt the CEO was being cruel to her team leader for not sharing the beer for an unreasonable reason. So, now she's helping cover up the team leader's mischievous behavior so the handsome CEO doesn't get caught red-handed.
"By the way, is Flint still busy chatting with the other guests?" Ellen asked, still pouring Janice half a beer into her glass.
"Don't worry. He's still greeting other people." A heavy sigh escaped her lips. "But, I wonder why he won't let you drink. You should be able to handle alcohol better than I am."
"He is so annoying and stingy."
