Sora's POV
Yesterday passed more smoothly than I expected.
Soojin handled the grooming for my dogs and cat while I stayed at the counter, greeting customers and keeping myself busy. The clinic next door was packed, and Logan barely had time to breathe.
By the time his shift ended, he looked completely drained.
I didn't have the heart to continue our conversation after everything he said. So I told him to go home and rest, and that we could talk the next day instead.
Maybe that was for the best.
Logan needed time to think.
What he offered me… it wasn't something he could just decide in one emotional moment. Traveling with me, leaving everything behind—it sounded good when you were desperate, but reality had a way of catching up.
He had a clinic. Patients. Staff who depended on him.
And no matter how much he wanted to stay with me… I knew he couldn't.
Today, I was alone at the shop.
