Sora's POV
I tried to pull away from Logan, just enough to breathe.
But the moment I looked at him, my chest tightened painfully.
He was crying.
Logan—who had always been calm, composed, the one who held me together when I was falling apart—looked so fragile in front of me. His eyes were red, his lips trembling, like he didn't know how to hold himself together anymore.
And somehow, that hurt more than anything else right now.
I let out a quiet sigh and reached for his hands, holding them gently between mine.
"Logan—"
He quickly wiped his tears, almost desperately, as if he didn't want me to see him like that.
"Sora," he said, his voice unsteady. "I won't die like your other husbands."
The words made me hold my breath.
"If you want, I'll get a full executive check-up," he continued, his grip tightening around my hands. "I'll show you how healthy I am. We can double the security, triple it if we have to. I won't let anything happen to me."
