'Zachary Conway!'
Michelle Fuller's long eyelashes fluttered as she kept her voice calm. "Why are you bringing him up?"
"At the dinner party, I noticed he kept staring at you." A gentle smile graced Mr. Fuller's face. "I'm guessing he's interested in you."
"You've only met the guy once and you're already guessing things like that." Michelle Fuller pouted. "You have way too much confidence in your daughter."
"Of course." Pride swelled in Mr. Fuller's voice. "In your father's eyes, you're the absolute best."
Michelle Fuller said awkwardly, "Stop being so cheesy!"
Mr. Fuller chuckled a few times before getting back to the point. "But seriously, does that boy like you or not?"
"No!" Michelle Fuller's denial was immediate and firm.
'Although, back when she was in Lyris, Hilary had mentioned that Zachary Conway was always secretly looking at her.'
'But Zachary Conway himself had never actually said he liked her.'
"Alright," Mr. Fuller said. "I guess I was wrong, then."
