Adrian remained quiet. He simply looked at him and gave a small nod in acknowledgement.
"Boss. I'm sorry for the... um. I mean, the disturbance." Harris pointed vaguely toward the delivery van behind him. "There was a small problem with the delivery. They removed some important things from my list, so we were discu–"
"Speak." Adrian's voice cut through the rest of his explanation before it could properly begin.
Harris immediately nodded. "Oh yeah. What I wanted to say is that I won't be coming to work for the rest of the week."
Adrian's gaze remained unchanged. Somehow, that seemed to encourage him.
"I'm accompanying my girlfriend to the coast for relationship development," he informed proudly, his chest lifting a little.
One of Adrian's brows raised a bit as if he had been caught off guard. But the reaction disappeared almost immediately.
