The sky had darkened outside, and everything had grown quieter by the time Elara exited the hospital with Adrian. Without a word, she entered his car and fastened her seatbelt. For the first few minutes of the drive, both of them remained quiet until Elara finally cleared her throat.
"I heard what you talked about with Grandpa," she suddenly said, turning sideways to glance at Adrian who went quiet for a long moment before snorting coldly.
"Congratulations?" he muttered, not even taking a look at her.
"I said I heard both of you talking about something," Elara repeated, her patience already beginning to wear thin at the nonchalant expression on his face.
"It's nothing. Just a few things," he said calmly as he overtook a car on the road.
Elara's eyes brightened a little. She unconsciously looked at him again, a curious glint appearing in her eyes. "What were you talking about?"
A long moment passed before he finally parted his lips. "Many things," he muttered.
"What exactly?"
