Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 : Misunderstood Truth

Rohan dragged Raha into his room and slammed the door shut right in front of the maid holding a plate of food.

The maid frowned and muttered to herself.

Is he crazy? If he wasn't going to eat, why did he make me bring the plate here?

Shaking her head, she walked away.

Inside the room, Raha immediately began moving around restlessly. She ran toward the door again and again, trying to escape, but Rohan blocked her every time.

"Calm down!" he said, trying to make her sit.

Raha shook her head stubbornly.

"No."

Annoyed, Rohan grabbed her shoulders and forced her to sit down. For a moment he lost himself in her beauty, but quickly shook the thought away.

"What are you doing here?" he asked sharply.

Raha lowered her head and stayed silent.

The room fell into complete silence.

After a few moments, Rohan walked to his wardrobe, pulled out a stack of cash, and threw it in front of her.

"If this isn't enough, tell me."

Raha looked at him in shock.

"What? Why are you staring like that?" Rohan sneered. "Isn't this what you wanted? Blackmailing us to get money."

Raha stared at him, speechless.

Rohan then grabbed his car keys from the table and tossed them toward her.

"Take this too. My car is yours."

He paused before adding coldly,

"You just have to do one thing… apologize to me in front of the whole school."

Raha couldn't understand what he was saying.

Rohan continued,

"You slapped me in front of everyone, remember? I'm not asking for much. Just say sorry… in front of the entire school."

He looked at her.

"You want to say something? Wait."

Rohan brought a notebook and pen and handed them to her.

Raha quickly began writing, her hands shaking with anger.

"You have no shame."

Rohan read the words and laughed.

Raha continued writing.

"A girl was murdered, and you're protecting the people who did it. Did you think even once about what her father is going through? What her mother must be feeling?

You warned me… but on what right? You truly have no shame. No emotion. You're nothing but a stone."

Rohan's expression slowly turned serious.

He looked at her again.

"Blackmail? What blackmail are you talking about?"

Raha wrote again quickly.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I didn't tell anyone.

Find the truth before you blame someone."

She threw the notebook toward him.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she began to cry.

Rohan said nothing.

Outside the room, people could hear Rohan shouting and Raha crying.

Raha's mother slowly walked toward the door, worry written all over her face. But she didn't dare to knock.

Hearing her daughter's crying made her heart tighten.

Some of the maids gathered around.

"Did your daughter really slap young master Rohan?" one of them whispered.

Raha's mother looked shocked.

"If something like that happened, Raha would have told me."

"So does that mean Rohan is lying?" another maid murmured.

Raha's mother stayed silent.

Inside the room, Rohan spoke again.

"Stop crying."

Raha ignored him and sat down on the sofa.

After a moment, Rohan walked toward her and slowly knelt down in front of her.

"Hey… calm down," he said softly.

Raha looked at him with tear-filled eyes.

Rohan tried to wipe her tears, but she pushed him away.

He gently held her hand instead and carefully wiped the tears from her face.

"Sorry…" he said quietly. "When I'm angry, I say things without thinking."

Raha stared at him in disbelief.

Just then, the door suddenly opened.

Rohan's mother had arrived.

Everyone froze seeing them like that.

Rohan immediately stood up.

"Mom… when did you come back?"

Money was scattered across the floor. Everyone in the room looked stunned.

Mrs. Watson crossed her arms.

"Why? Am I not allowed to come home?"

Rohan lowered his head.

"You went to Australia for the case…"

"I thought I'd surprise everyone," she said coldly, glancing at Raha. "But it seems I'm the one who got surprised."

The maids began whispering among themselves.

"There must be something between them."

"Otherwise why would Rohan drag that girl into his room?"

"The door was closed for so long… who knows what happened?"

Hearing those words, Raha's mother felt a sharp pain in her chest.

Mrs. Watson shot the maids a furious glare, and they immediately fell silent.

Then she turned to Rohan.

"Who is this girl?"

Before Rohan could answer, Raha's mother spoke nervously.

"M-ma'am… she is my daughter."

Mrs. Watson looked at her in shock and anger. She wanted to say something, but stopped herself.

Her eyes moved to Raha, who was standing there silently with her head lowered. It was obvious she had been crying.

Raha's mother quickly took Raha's hand and led her out of the room.

Mrs. Watson then shouted at the maids.

"Does no one here have any work to do?"

They scattered immediately.

Without another word, she walked away.

Rohan stood there alone, holding his head.

"What does Mom think happened here…?"

Downstairs, Raha's mother wanted to question her daughter, but she held back.

She was too angry.

Raha could tell from her face.

She quietly gestured that she wanted to go home.

Her mother silently handed her the house keys.

Raha took them and walked out of the Watson mansion.

Back in his room, Rohan kept reading the words Raha had written.

"Did she really not tell the police…?"

He sighed deeply.

"What did I do…? I shouldn't have treated her like that."

Then another thought crossed his mind.

"If she didn't tell the police… then who did?"

Later, at lunchtime, the whole family gathered at the dining table.

Mrs. Watson still looked serious when she saw Raha's mother working there.

Rohan sat down quietly.

"Where is Bella?" Mrs. Watson asked.

"She is staying at her father's house," Rohan replied calmly.

"Why?"

"We had an argument."

Everyone began eating.

Mrs. Watson then asked her husband,

"I heard a girl from the school committed suicide."

Mr. Watson only nodded.

She sighed and turned to Rohan.

"When will all of this end?"

"What do you mean?" Rohan frowned. "What did I do?"

"Then who did?" she asked coldly.

Hearing this conversation, Raha's mother felt confused.

Why are they blaming each other for that girl's suicide?

Just then, her phone vibrated.

A message appeared.

Subin:

Hi… what are you doing?

She glanced at it… and ignored the message.
