Chapter 6 - Skill Level Up

Stab!

Gahk!

Rega thrust his spear straight into the Green Goblin's chest. Blood splattered everywhere, soaking the dungeon floor.

(Green Goblin kill confirmed. EXP successfully multiplied!)

(Level up, level up, level up…)

Before Rega could even feel happy, a second notification from the 10,000x System rang out.

(Basic Spear Technique usage confirmed. Skill EXP successfully multiplied!)

(Basic Spear Technique has been upgraded to Intermediate Spear Technique.)

(Intermediate Spear Technique (100/1000): thrusting, striking, and blocking. When using a spear, attack power increases by 2x.)

Rega froze, staring at the transparent screen floating right in front of his face.

"Leveled up instantly on the first use? This isn't a dream, right?"

(Hehehe, well? Surprised, Master?)

"Of course! Why didn't you tell me earlier that skill EXP could be multiplied too?!"

(Hehehe, isn't this kind of thing better experienced firsthand?)

"You're right. In that case—"

Rega looked at the five Green Goblins in front of him, smiled coldly, and muttered,

"You are my prey."

Stab!

Slash!

(5 Green Goblin kills confirmed. EXP successfully multiplied!)

(Level up, level up, level up…)

(Intermediate Spear Technique usage confirmed. Skill EXP successfully multiplied!)

(Intermediate Spear Technique has advanced to Advanced Spear Technique… Advanced Spear Technique has advanced to Peak Spear Technique!)

In a single run, his spear skill jumped two whole tiers!

Peak Spear Technique multiplied attack power by 5x, an absolutely outrageous increase.

"I heard it takes over a hundred uses to go from basic to intermediate, a thousand from intermediate to advanced, and ten thousand from advanced to peak."

(Yet Master achieved it in just a few tries. Amazing, isn't it?)

Rega nodded seriously.

"Very. I can't believe you can do all this."

Ai smiled proudly, placing her hands on her hips and puffing out her pitifully small chest.

Rega chuckled, gathered the magic crystals dropped by the Green Goblins, and continued hunting.

Today's goal was to steadily work toward a rank upgrade. As long as he could find more Green Goblins, it wouldn't be a problem.

Jaran Dungeon was famous for spawning new monsters every few minutes.

As long as someone wasn't lazy, finding dozens of Green Goblins was easy.

The real problem was whether they could defeat dozens of Green Goblins at once.

Most beginner hunters from ordinary backgrounds relied solely on government subsidies to buy equipment.

The gear they obtained was decent, but not good enough to make hunting easy.

Coupled with only basic skills, it was extremely difficult for them to take on dozens of Green Goblins simultaneously.

Rega was the exception.

Although he also came from an ordinary background, he had coincidentally obtained a system that allowed him to raise his skill levels with ease.

Thanks to his high skill levels, Rega achieved his goal on the very first day—killing seventy-five Green Goblins and reaching Level 250!

"Almost all my attributes have reached four digits. I actually want to push everything to four digits, but curfew is almost here."

Rega let out a light sigh and turned to leave Jaran Dungeon.

Instead of going straight home, Rega first exchanged the magic crystals he obtained from today's Green Goblin hunt.

Each Green Goblin magic crystal was worth one Universal Currency, so today Rega earned seventy-five Universal Currency.

Since the total sale hadn't reached the mandatory tax threshold, Rega received the full amount.

(Author's Note: Universal Currency is the only currency used worldwide. Its value is equivalent to the dollar in our world.)

"Alright, let's buy a special sweet martabak as a souvenir for Siri. I'm sure that girl will love it."

Rega stopped by a shop, bought one special sweet martabak, and headed home.

Nothing dramatic happened on the way back. Rega simply felt excited and eager to return to the dungeon to level up again.

As soon as he got home, Siri looked at him strangely.

"Big Brother, why are you grinning like that? Are you feeling okay?" Siri asked suspiciously.

"Ahem! Nonsense. Your brother here is perfectly healthy," Rega replied, holding out the special sweet martabak to Siri.

Siri's eyes widened as she asked excitedly,

"For me?!"

Rega smiled faintly, nodded gently, and handed the martabak to her.

"Yay! I love you, Big Brother!"
