A few days had passed since I fully awakened my powers. I gained elemental control over electricity, fire, and shadows, but since I'm a witch… it's not that useful to me. So what I'm really going to develop are my psychic abilities…
The shocking part is that despite having memories from another world and knowing the future because of the memories of the…
Fuck… why the hell can't I remember his name… damn it.
Caroline had also been discharged and I went to visit her.
--++++--
"Hi, sweetheart," I said lovingly as I opened the door to Caroline's room.
The first thing I felt was a disgusting smell, somehow even worse than animal blood, which was at least tolerable.
"What is that smell?" I asked in disgust. "How can something stink that much?"
"How rude… I got my period," Caroline turned her face away.
"Vampires don't menstruate," I said as I walked toward her calmly. "Babe, what happened… talk to me."
She bit her lip, hesitant, then spoke.
"I had a visit from the famous evil Elena," she said quietly.
"Fuck… that bitch," I growled, rage taking over. I knew she would come, but even so the anger was massive. "I'm going to kill that bitch."
"No, Nik," Caroline whispered gently, cupping my face. "She didn't do anything to me… it was the opposite… I hurt her. I don't know… it wasn't me… it was like it was me… but it wasn't."
I see… apparently the demon in my bloodline is greater than the one in my father's and my uncles' and aunt's line.
Their demons only take control when they shut down. Mine is different.
It acts when it sees the host in danger — and that's bad… from what I can tell.
"I think it was the famous vampire demon," I said, remembering mine. Did what happened to mine change the one in my bloodline too or is it still a copy of Silas?
"Maybe… but that's in the past. Tell me, how are you feeling about the hunger?" she asked, a little uncomfortable. "Honestly I'm not feeling anything and at the same time I have this small hunger that food doesn't satisfy."
The way she said it was cute… but from what my mother told me about my bloodline… we are closer to werewolves than regular vampires.
Our power is formed by potential, not time.
From what I noticed, Pearl and Anna could both stay almost fine without drinking blood as long as they didn't use their powers.
So I came to the conclusion that the older the vampire, the less blood they need to live. And if my bloodline is based on potential and Caroline — according to herself — easily dominated Katherine who is 600 years old…
Caroline has a huge potential, at least 8/10. Yes, I just created that scale.
Since my mother said vampires reach their physical peak at a thousand years, I used a 0 to 10 scale. Zero is a newborn, ten is a thousand years.
"Nik!" Caroline shouted, pinching my arm. "Are you listening to me?"
She made a little pout — so cute. I'm falling in love all over again.
"Yes, babe," I replied with a smile, when in reality I had been so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't heard a thing.
"You're lying," she narrowed her eyes at me.
"Sorry, I didn't hear anything," I lowered my head in defeat, then looked at her properly and realized. "Wait… you got hotter… nice."
Caroline was standing in front of me, hands on her hips, clearly expecting a more dramatic reaction.
"You're not going to say anything?"
"I did."
"You said 'nice.'"
"Because it is nice."
She narrowed her eyes.
"Nik, my body completely changed in like… one day."
"Uh-huh."
"Look at this." She pulled her shirt down a little, showing the perfect line of her abs. "This wasn't here before."
I ran my hand along her waist naturally.
She slapped my hand.
"Stop."
"I'm analyzing."
"You're not taking this seriously!"
"I am. I'm taking it very seriously. In fact I'm going to need about fifteen more minutes of analysis."
She tried to hold back a smile but failed.
"Nik!"
"What? This is a scientific breakthrough. You were complaining about body control last week and now you look like a magazine cover."
"I became a vampire, I didn't join a supernatural fitness program!"
I touched her again.
She slapped harder.
"Stop groping me while I'm having an existential crisis!"
"It's not groping. It's emotional support."
She huffed and shoved me lightly.
"And you, huh? You didn't change at all."
"Of course I did."
"You didn't."
"I'm stronger."
"You were already defined."
"Now I'm defined with an upgrade."
She crossed her arms.
"This is so unfair. I went through an absurd transformation and you just… stayed the same."
"That's called aesthetic consistency."
"That's called lack of visual evolution," she said, poking my arm. "Which, by the way, is ridiculously hard."
"See? Change."
She squeezed my bicep with both hands.
"Okay… this is kind of absurd."
"Thank you."
"But visually you still look the same."
"You're mad because I didn't have a vampire glow-up?"
"Yes!"
"Next time I unlock a new power I'll tell my body to grow two more inches of shoulder width."
She laughed.
"Idiot."
I stepped closer and touched her waist again quickly.
She slapped my hand without even looking.
"I told you to stop."
"Reflex."
"I noticed."
She tried to stay serious.
"But it's weird," she said, looking at herself in the reflection. "I wake up and… it's like this is the body I was always supposed to have."
"You've always been beautiful."
She looked sideways.
"That doesn't fix it."
"You've always been hot."
She turned instantly.
"Nik!"
"Now you're even more and that makes me very happy as your boyfriend and as an art appreciator."
She tried to hold the laugh again and completely lost.
"You're impossible."
"You love me."
"Unfortunately."
I touched her waist again.
She slapped my hand — but stayed leaning against me.
The door opened.
"Caroline, I brought—"
Liz stopped mid-sentence.
Her eyes went straight to my hand on her daughter's waist.
I removed it at the speed of light.
"Good afternoon, sheriff."
"Good afternoon," she said slowly. "Your hands seem to be working perfectly, from what I can see."
"Mom!"
"Hospital room, Caroline."
"He's my boyfriend!"
"And that turns the hospital into a motel?"
"Not a motel," I said. "At most an observation laboratory."
Liz stared at me.
"Out."
"It was a pleasure as always."
"Out."
Caroline was already laughing when I reached the door.
"We'll continue the discussion about your lack of visual evolution later!" she shouted.
"I'm going to work out out of spite!" I replied.
"You're already like that!"
"But now it will be intentional!"
Liz slammed the door in my face.
From inside I could still hear Caroline laughing.

After the mayor's death, Mrs. Lockwood took over the town and John Gilbert was arrested for attempted murder.
It was just a way for the mayor to get revenge on John for her husband's death.
It was hilarious that the mayor had never been a vampire and was affected by the device… little did they know vampires aren't the only things in the world.
Werewolves are very real — and other annoying things like gods, monsters, angels, and demons.
One day I asked my mother about Ken and she just said he was one of the many arrogant sons of Zeus.
Apparently, in ancient times, to spread his domain… Zeus had children with minor goddesses from conquered regions and made those sons take on his identity, sending only the name.
From there all the mythological confusion started, until the champions of those lands killed those sons of Zeus thinking they were killing Zeus himself, while ignoring the expansion of the Roman Empire.
Hahahahah, the old lightning god is far smarter than I thought.

Back to the point — Mason arrived in town and already started drawing attention and didn't even come greet the owner of the city. I'm hurt.
All I know is that he's sleeping with Katherine and she's using him for her goals, according to my series memories… or the demon's memories.
How annoying… I was planning to call Anna and Pearl to beat him up and put him in his place.
Mason, even in the series, wasn't that powerful and I'm sure his potential was at most 4/10.
So both Pearl and Anna could easily deal with him on a full moon.
But… the chance of them getting bitten is high and there's a possibility Mason is an alpha. I can't risk losing both of them to a bite.
Since I didn't inherit the wolf part from my father, I don't have the cure in my blood.
Besides, I wouldn't destroy the experience of living the dream my boy is having.
Having a harem of two hot vampires is every man's dream and he's living it.
And that's when I remembered I still had two Slaters and two idiots in town that could help me.

I arrived in front of the Salvatore boarding house and was immediately greeted by a very irritated Damon.
"Well, if it isn't the king of the town," Damon said ironically, holding a glass of bourbon. "Want some?"
"Sure." I took the glass and drank, tasting the excellent flavor of the blood in it. "O negative… you have good taste."
"You?" His eyes widened and he lunged at me, but to me he seemed to be moving in slow motion.
I easily dodged and raised my hand, using my magic to throw him away.
He flew into the wall and hit it hard, getting stuck there.
I calmly walked into the house and with a smile approached Damon.
"What's the rush… did you really think you had a chance against me?"
