You sold items for a total of 402 cropper coins!
Watching his savings increase, he smiled slightly. Saving money was his specialty; every time he saw his balance rise, he felt happy.
Your Fishing skill leveled up!
[Fishing Level 1]
+1 Fishing Rod Proficiency
So you could level up skills, too. Carter was slightly stunned.
Did that mean doing other things could also level them up? He decided to try it out.
Yesterday, he hadn't checked the weather report. Today, going outside, he discovered it was raining.
Stardew Valley's mechanics always surprised him; he didn't expect a realistic weather simulation, either.
He walked out the door, standing in the rain. Everything felt so new. Though drenched to the bone, he didn't feel very cold.
Due to the rain, the land he'd cultivated got watered by rainfall.
This saved him a lot of time otherwise spent watering.
The endless sound of rain added a certain tranquility to the world.
He directly braved the rain and started clearing farm debris.
Chopping trees, breaking rocks, clearing weeds, busy as could be.
He'd already planned it out: first, clear a large open space, then till it all into farmland, plant a field of crops.
Then sell crops for money.
So he started frantically chopping trees, breaking rocks.
"You found a Geode! The Pelican Town blacksmith can crack it open for you. What could be inside?"
"Huh! Another thing I've never seen!"
He put it into his inventory and then continued his hard work.
Just like that, day three and day four quickly passed.
The day five came around.
The parsnips planted on day one had finally matured. During this time, he'd also obtained many mixed seeds, though most were still in development stages.
He enthusiastically started harvesting crops.

The continuous prompts had a special magic, making him more and more energized.
But seeds were running low now. Looks like he'd need to make time to buy some seeds at the general store.
He put away the parsnips, planning to sell them when he had more time.
Then he checked the mailbox again. Another letter came today.
Dear Joja Corporation Customer:
Our team members have cleared the landslide site...
-Morris
"Landslide?"
Right, he remembered now, the past couple of days while wandering through town, he seemed to recall a section of the road north of town blocked by a landslide.
Was a new map opening?
He climbed the mountain from the farm's north side, passed through a small path, passed Robin's house, and then arrived at a mine entrance.
"The Mines." This is what the letter mentioned...
"What's inside?"
"There won't be ghosts... right?!"
Looking at the pitch-black mine, his heart felt apprehensive. He mustered his courage, cautiously feeling his way inside.
The mine's interior space was large, with many mine lamps providing illumination around. This gradually calmed his anxious heart. Looking closely, there was a gray-haired man inside.
Judging by his outfit, he looked like an adventurer.
He approached him.
The man seemed to notice him.
"I wanted to check out this old mine. It's been abandoned for decades. There might still be some decent ore below."
He paused again.
"But such a pitch-black place, no one's been down there in ages... I'm afraid you'll find more than just ore down there..."
"Here, take this. Might come in handy."
He handed Carter a sword.
You received [Rusty Sword]
"By the way, I'm Marlon. I run the Adventurer's Guild just outside."
"I'll be watching your every move. If you can prove yourself, I might let you become a member."
Having said this, he slowly left.
[Rusty Sword]
A rusty, dull blade.
2-5 Damage
Carter held the sword. Good grief, another person giving him free equipment.
But the mines should yield lots of good stuff, right? If he dug up gems or gold or something, wouldn't he get rich?
Harboring desires for wealth, he resolutely walked toward the mine stairs.
Fortune favors the bold.
He was just too poor. Between picking up trash and fishing, he'd barely scraped together 2,000 cropper coins. After buying a backpack, he was penniless again.
Right now, he desperately needed wealth to save his barren wallet.
Descending to mine level one.
It was a very small space, with one green slime bouncing around in the middle.
"So this is a monster, huh?"
Eat my sword!!
One hit, two hits, three hits, four hits.
He went all out, beating the slime to death in just a few hits, though he also got counterattacked twice. Anit hurt!
After the slime died, it dropped some gel. He looked at it, but had no idea what this stuff was for.
'Whatever, let's save it for now.'
With that, he started mining. In the distance was a copper-coloured stone emanating a faint glow.
He went straight over and started mining it.
Clang clang clang clang.
[Copper Ore +3]
"Yesssss!"
Then he broke a few more rocks. Suddenly, a ladder appeared below.
Figured this was the way to the next level.
But he wasn't in a rush to go down; there was still lots of ore he hadn't mined yet. He wanted to clear all of this completely.
After all, this was all money!
Even stones could be sold for money. Mining rocks sometimes dropped geodes, too.
After mining all the ore on this level, leaving only two large rocks with prompts saying his pickaxe level wasn't high enough.
So for now, he had to let them be and climbed down the ladder to the next level.
The initial mine levels weren't very difficult, so Carter didn't encounter a lot of enemies.
After clanging away, mining several levels, his inventory slowly started filling up. A huge pile of random stuff. Plus lots of geodes and ore, which should be worth a lot of money.
Seeing that time was almost up, he prepared to leave the mines directly.
"Cock-a-doodle-doo... cock-a-doodle-doo... cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Dawn broke.
What the hell? Carter woke up in bed, then casually turned off the magic chicken alarm clock.
Confused for a moment before snapping back. He didn't expect that a whole night had already passed in a flash.
Mainly because Stardew Valley shocked him too much, he ended up immersed in Pelican Town's little world for an entire night.
So much so, he had forgotten about time completely.
Time passes quickly when you have fun after all. Next came another day of wage slavery.
But it wasn't just him; many others were also immersed in the Dreamscape, unable to restrain themselves.
And at this time...
Alto sat in his new chair happily counting his money.
Beside him, Sophia was giving the first day's sales report.
"Boss, our first day sales data is out!"
Sophia was somewhat excited.
"Our store's sales were 1,235 copies, total revenue 71,630 Baileys, net profit 34,580 Baileys!"
"On Saint Oros Trading Company's side, the total sales were 138,300 copies!"
She was currently wearing the employee uniform Alto had specially commissioned, files clutched to her chest, her figure straining against the fabric.
Her eyes stared unblinkingly at Alto, her gaze revealing hints of admiration.
