Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Crossing

"Where am I? Why do I have these memories? Who am I, exactly? Right, I'm Ye Ming."

Inside a dilapidated room, a young boy murmured.

He clutched his head, his expression distorted, and after about a minute, he finally processed the information in his mind.

"Did I transmigrate?" The boy looked around in astonishment, then at his hands, which had become small like a child's.

But before he could react, an ugly monster appeared before him, followed by a memory fragment: a couple shielding a young boy, only to be killed by the monster.

The fragment flashed by, and the monster slowly moved its bloated body towards the boy.

Through his memories, the boy now understood what had happened: the monster before him had killed the parents of this body, and the boy had died at that moment.

This had led to him, who had also died in his original world, transmigrating here.

Looking at the hideous monster, fear filled his eyes, as he was just an ordinary person, and his heart was filled with hatred for it.

Not to mention being a child now, even as an adult, it would be impossible to kill this monster.

Various negative emotions flooded the boy's heart, and without him noticing, a terrifying power flowed within his body.

"Don't come closer!" The boy picked up something nearby and threw it at the monster, but it was unaffected and continued to advance.

Its gaping maw opened wide as it approached the boy, emitting strange sounds.

It was as if it was saying, "Eat you, eat you!"

The boy, terrified, kept moving backward.

Until his body was cornered in the kitchen.

"No way, am I going to die right after transmigrating?" the boy thought in fear.

At this moment, the monster also reached the boy.

"No, I don't want to die, it's all a lie!" Facing death for the second time, the boy's fear magnified infinitely, and his heart was incredibly conflicted.

He didn't understand how, in some novels, those who had just transmigrated could so calmly accept death when facing danger, even if they had already died once.

Did they know a golden finger would appear? Don't be ridiculous; how could an ordinary person not be afraid when facing death?

Complex emotions overwhelmed the boy; with each step the monster took, the boy crumbled a bit more.

At this point, his rationality was completely consumed, and his face was contorted.

Just then, the monster extended its large hand to grab the boy.

And it was at this moment that a flash of white light occurred, and a giant arm flew off.

The pain of having its arm severed made the monster howl, and then it looked at the boy before it, a primal fear flashing in its eyes.

The boy's youthful face wore a distorted smile, and he held a knife in his hand.

The monster's green blood splattered onto the boy's face, and most strangely, the boy's originally black pupils had vanished, replaced by a pair of blood-red eyes.

Within these eyes were three comma-shaped objects, rotating rhythmically.

The monster looked at the eyes before it, and fear flashed in its own eyes—the fear of encountering something of a higher grade than themselves.

As a Cursed Spirit born from human negative emotions, this Cursed Spirit actually felt a stronger curse than itself, and the answer was clearly the boy's blood-red eyes.

Even if this Cursed Spirit didn't have much capacity for thought, anything with life would instinctively feel fear when facing something stronger than themselves.

The boy laughed maniacally, and a terrifying Cursed Energy surged from the knife in his hand.

He then quickly rushed towards the Cursed Spirit and swiftly swung the knife.

In a short while, the monster was killed.

After killing the monster, the distortion on the boy's face vanished, and he then fainted.

It took about a day for the boy to slowly wake up.

"I'm not dead?" The boy looked at everything before him in disbelief.

Based on the situation, he finally understood what had happened: he must have unconsciously unleashed his potential and killed the monster.

Then, the boy felt strange; why did everything around him feel so unreal?

He wasn't saying the monster was unreal, after all, he had transmigrated, so even if it was unreal, it could be understood.

What he meant by unreal was looking at everything around him; the environment was still the same as before he fainted, but why did everything he saw feel exceptionally clear, even to the point of being a bit fake?

Then the boy looked around until he saw the shattered mirror on the ground.

Reflected in the broken pieces of the mirror was a youthful yet delicate boy, but to his surprise, the boy's eyes in the reflection were blood-red, with black comma-like tomoe within them.

If the people of this world didn't know what that represented, how could he, who had transmigrated, not know?

"What the heck? This is… Sharingan?" The boy said, looking at himself in surprise.

He initially thought he was seeing things, then he searched the ground for a larger mirror shard and looked at his eyes again.

"Is this really the Sharingan? And a Three Tomoe Sharingan at that? Is this the world of Naruto? No, these buildings are clearly not from there, and according to this boy's memories, this is just an ordinary world," Ye Ming mused, stroking his chin.

"Could it be because I was watching Naruto before I transmigrated? That's too ridiculous; I was watching the Rinnegan at the time!" Ye Ming said indignantly.

Then he sensed something.

"This power? Is it Chakra?" He then discovered something interesting: a flow of power within his body.

With his Sharingan, he could naturally see the power flowing within him.

This power felt like the Cursed Spirit, full of various negative energies.

He then began to control this power, and his eyes began to return to their original state.

"Let's try Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu." Then Ye Ming quickly formed hand signs.

"It's not working?"

"Again, Chidori, Lightning Blade…" He then tried various elemental ninjutsu, but none had any effect.

"What's going on? This isn't right.

Even if I haven't systematically learned ninjutsu yet, I should at least have its properties, right? What's happening?" Controlling the Cursed Energy in his body with the Sharingan was still very simple.

"Is it not Chakra, but some other power?" Yoi pondered.

"Wait, this monster in front of me, it looks like… This is Neon, and even the place names are similar.

There are monsters, and the news reports people suddenly disappearing.

Could it be…" yoi seemed to suddenly realize something….
