"Good boy," Amelia praised, offering him a little water afterward.
Elias waited until Cooper had finished before setting his own bowl on the nearby table. He checked the prescribed dosage and made sure the medicine had been taken properly, then watched Cooper for a moment to ensure he was not experiencing any discomfort.
"Well done, Cooper," he said. "Keep taking your medicine as prescribed, and you'll continue getting stronger."
Cooper nodded solemnly.
Takoda, who had been watching the entire process, leaned toward her brother. "See? You did it!"
"I know," Cooper replied, looking faintly amused by her excitement.
Amelia chuckled before turning toward Dakota with the second bowl. "Your turn now."
Dakota accepted it, although she glanced at the medicine with considerably less enthusiasm than she had shown during her conversation with the children.
