Chapter 1 - FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT

Dr. Sophia Patel stared at her reflection, adjusting her glasses and smoothing out her dress. She hated these family gatherings, where her parents would inevitably ask about her love life. To avoid the questioning, Sophia had concocted a story about a boyfriend, Max, who was supposedly busy with work.

The next day, at the lab, Sophia was thrilled to be focused on her research. That's when she saw him - her new colleague, Alex Chen. Charming, handsome, and somehow familiar. As they introduced themselves, Sophia's heart skipped a beat. This could be a problem.

At the next family gathering, Sophia's mother asked to see a photo of Max. Panicked, Sophia realized she had no idea what her fake boyfriend looked like. That's when Alex walked into the room, and Sophia's eyes widened in desperation. "That's him," she whispered to her mother.

Alex, oblivious to the situation, smiled and waved, and Sophia's mother beamed with pride. "Invite him over for dinner," she said, and Sophia's heart sank.

Sophia convinced Alex to play along, and they staged a fake relationship. As they spent more time together, Sophia found herself getting lost in the fantasy. They shared laughs, inside jokes, and late-night conversations about science and life.

But keeping up the act became increasingly difficult. Sophia's feelings for Alex grew stronger, and she couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same way. One night, as they sat on the couch, Alex turned to her and asked, "Sophia, can I ask you something?"

"Anything," Sophia replied, her heart racing.

"Do you ever feel like... maybe this isn't just pretend for me?" Alex's eyes locked onto hers, and Sophia's pulse quickened.

She hesitated, unsure of how to respond. If she confessed her feelings, she risked ruining their friendship and the fake relationship. But if she played it cool, she might miss her chance at real love.

As the silence stretched out, Sophia realized she had a choice to make. Would she take a chance on love or maintain the facade? The uncertainty was exhilarating and terrifying.

Sophia's heart pounded as she searched for the right words. "I...I don't know what you're talking about," she stammered, trying to play it cool.

Alex's expression was unreadable, and Sophia's anxiety spiked. Had she misinterpreted the situation entirely?

But then, Alex smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Okay, maybe I was just testing the waters," he said, his voice low and teasing.

Sophia's relief was palpable, but she couldn't shake the feeling that Alex was hiding something behind his smile.

As the days went by, Sophia found herself getting more and more entangled in the web of her own deceit. She knew she had to confess the truth to Alex, but the fear of losing him kept her silent.

One evening, as they worked late in the lab, Alex turned to her and said, "You know, Sophia, I've really enjoyed spending time with you outside of work. I feel like I've gotten to know you so much better."

Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she met his gaze. "I've enjoyed it too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alex took a step closer, his eyes locked onto hers. "I was thinking... maybe we could make this real," he said, his voice low and husky.

Sophia's mind reeled as she processed his words. Was he saying what she thought he was saying? Did he actually have feelings for her?

Just as she was about to respond, her phone buzzed with a text from her mother. "Hey, sweetie, just checking in on the wedding plans!"

Sophia's eyes widened in panic as she realized she had forgotten to update her mother on the fake engagement. "Ah, Mom, I need to call you back," she stammered, trying to play it cool.

As she hung up the phone, Alex raised an eyebrow. "Wedding plans?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Sophia's face burned with embarrassment. "Uh, yeah... I might have, uh, mentioned something to my mom about us getting married," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alex's expression was priceless, a mix of shock and amusement. "You what?" he asked, his voice rising in surprise.

Sophia took a deep breath and explained the entire situation to Alex, from the fake boyfriend to the pretend engagement. As she spoke, she couldn't help but wonder how Alex would react.

Would he be angry? Would he laugh it off? Or would he surprise her with something more?

As she finished her story, Sophia held her breath, waiting for Alex's response...

Alex listened intently, his expression unreadable. Sophia's heart sank, expecting him to be furious or hurt. But then, a slow smile spread across his face.

"You've been pretending to be in a relationship with me... to please your family?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.

Sophia nodded, feeling her face heat up with embarrassment. "I know it's ridiculous. I just didn't know how to get out of it."

Alex chuckled, a low, throaty sound. "I have to admit, I'm flattered."

Sophia's eyes widened in surprise. "You're not mad?"

Alex shrugged. "I'm more curious. Why me? Why did you choose me for this charade?"

Sophia hesitated, unsure how to respond. "I don't know. You just seemed... safe. And charming. And... and handsome."

Alex's smile grew wider. "I see. Well, I suppose I can continue the charade... for now."

Sophia's heart skipped a beat as Alex took a step closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "But I have one condition," he said, his voice low and husky.

"What's that?" Sophia asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"We have to do this for real," Alex said, his eyes locked onto hers. "No more pretending. We'll be a real couple, and we'll figure it out together."

Sophia's heart soared as she realized the possibilities. Was this a chance at real love, or was she just getting herself into deeper trouble?

As Alex's lips brushed against hers, Sophia knew she was willing to take the risk...

As their lips touched, Sophia felt a spark of electricity run through her body. The kiss was soft and gentle, yet it sent shivers down her spine. When Alex pulled back, Sophia's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled up at him.

"I think we can make this work," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Alex grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I think you're right," he replied, pulling her close again.

As they deepened the kiss, Sophia knew that she had made the right decision. She was ready to take a chance on love, and Alex seemed like the perfect partner.

As the days turned into weeks, Sophia and Alex's relationship blossomed. They spent every spare moment together, exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and laughing together.

Sophia's family was overjoyed when they found out about the relationship. Her mother was ecstatic, and her father welcomed Alex into the family with open arms.

But as the relationship progressed, Sophia and Alex faced new challenges. They had to navigate the complexities of a real relationship, including disagreements and misunderstandings.

One evening, as they were walking home from dinner, Alex turned to Sophia and said, "You know, I have to admit something to you."

"What's that?" Sophia asked, her curiosity piqued.

Alex took a deep breath before speaking. "I'm really glad you pretended to be in a relationship with me. If you hadn't, I might have never known how I really felt about you."

Sophia's heart melted at his words. "I'm glad I did too," she replied, smiling up at him.

As they stood on the sidewalk, wrapped in each other's arms, Sophia knew that she had found her perfect match in Alex.

As the months went by, Sophia and Alex's relationship continued to flourish. They became inseparable, and their love for each other only grew stronger.

One day, Alex took Sophia to a beautiful park overlooking the city. He led her to a quiet spot, got down on one knee, and pulled out a small box.

"Sophia, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special. Will you marry me?" he asked, his eyes shining with love and adoration.

Tears of joy streaming down her face, Sophia nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" she exclaimed, as Alex slid the ring onto her finger.

As they hugged and kissed, Sophia knew that this was just the beginning of their happily ever after.

Their wedding was a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, surrounded by friends and family. Sophia walked down the aisle, her father beaming with pride, and her heart full of love.

As they exchanged vows, Sophia and Alex promised to love and cherish each other, through the good times and the bad. They sealed their love with a kiss, and the crowd erupted in cheers and applause.

After the wedding, they embarked on a dream honeymoon, exploring exotic destinations and enjoying each other's company.

As they sat on a beach, watching the sunset, Alex turned to Sophia and said, "You know, I'm glad you pretended to be my girlfriend."

Sophia laughed, snuggling closer to him. "Me too," she replied, smiling up at her husband.

Their love story was one for the ages, a testament to the power of taking chances and embracing the unknown. And as they gazed into each other's eyes, they knew that their love would last a lifetime.

After their dream honeymoon, Sophia and Alex returned home, eager to start their new life together. They settled into a cozy little house, filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

A month's later, Sophia discovered she was pregnant. They were overjoyed, and their love for each other grew even stronger.

They thought their happy ending was coming, but not until Alex's childhood best friend arrived. She was a model, product indorser ,and a super famous actress named Ava William.

Long time ago when alex and ava was just 6 years old, they made a promise that if they grow older they would marry each other, and have their own family, not knowing that Ava's father would stoll a precious gem. Alex parents warned him not to be play with ava any more. Ava and her dad flow away and never leave a trice.

Alex and Sophia was eating at a restaurant when alex saw ava from a far, Alex was confused when did ava just arrived. "Alex..? What's wrong? Is something bothering you? " Sophia said. "No-no Sophia it's nothing..i was just looking at the window wondering what name would suits for our baby"he said trying to hide the truth." Hmm.i think Isabelle would do" then smiles softly.
