On a hill near the town of gol , a baby cries could be heard coming from a wooden villa .
"Ah... shut ! Baby astel stop crying okay ? Daddy's sorry ."
"Waah waaaaa waaah!"
Flustered, the man turned to his wife to ask for help.
"Cristy , I really need your help right now ...."
"A big man like you who's already the father of three children can't even take care of a baby ? Tch! You've no shame ..."
The woman took the baby girl from the man's arms and soothed her. Siève looked at his wife taking care ,his gaze softening.
Suddenly Siève sensed a slight force pushing him from behind
" Daddy ! Budge ! I want to see the twins !"
He smiled and stood to the side .
His daughter Roxanna ran toward the crib but was stopped by her older brother Ashton .
"Hey, ash! Let me go ! I want to see the babies .... aaah! Let me go!"
"No . Not now.you'll have to wait."
Hee placed his book on the table before releasing his sister .Seing her trying to run he grabbed her the collar .He whispered something in a low voice .A waterball was formed above roxanna's head .
"What are you doi.." she didn't finish talking before a waterfall fell on her head.
"HEY! Big brother Ash ,that wasn't funny at all !" she cried out.
He looked at her and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Now you like a kitten who got caught in the rain "
"I'll let you know if i'm a cat" she tried to crash onto him but he cast a wind spell and made her float in the air drying her by the way.
"Look! You're dry now so don't be angry, okay ? I'll give you candy "
He put her down .
"The candy first "
"Here you go" he took a candy from his pocket and handed it to her. "Now stop making a fuss , okay? "
" Huh! Big meany! "
Cristal placed Astella into the crib before turning her attention towards her two other children.
She stood in front of them and poked theirs heads.
"You two, stop making trouble otherwise you will wake up your brother . Understand?"
" " Yes ma'am " " The two replied at the same time.
Little Devon opened his eyes slightly and frowned , his small mouth pouting. Astella giggled at him. He got closer to his twin sister and tried to hug her but couldn't since he was still too small. He's simply spread his arm and leg over her before falling asleep again. This scene was witnessed by their father who still had a smile on his face.
Siève stared at the two babies who were in their own little world and came closer to the crib before rocking it gently. He lowered himself a little before ruffling the babies hair.
"Hummm.." Devon didn't like that feeling.
"A-ga.... Abuuubu" while Astella seemed delighted.
Roxanna ran over and couldn't help but squeeze her little sister cheek.
" Hello astel .Did you miss me ?" Roxanne asked in a soft voice.
"You already saw them this morning before going to play at our grandparents 's house " Ashton chimed .
"Leave me alone !" Roxanna really wanted to punch him at that moment.
Ashton squatted near her and places his finger against astella's hand which she happily grabbed . He grinned and formed a little fish made of water. Seing this roxanna also wanted to try and eagerly formed a Firebird but it quickly disapeared .
"Oh...."
"Abu"
"Do you want to confort me ? Thanks you" Roxanna smiley and stroked her hair.
"Not bad. You managed to use magic without having awakened yet. It's better than the kids of your age😌. "Ashton comforted .
"Really?"Roxanne asked.
" yeah but I'm still better than you😏."
" I don't want to talk to you anymore 😑"
Roxanna decided to ignore him.
"You will have a better control of your mana after you awaken next week so don't be so disappointed. "Ashton said while ruffling her's hair.
"Don't touch my head!" Roxanna shouted in anger while slapping his hand away . She glared at him.
"Ookay." 'Really... why is she so angry. I just helped her take a quick shower. That's just some water. I can't understand girl this days 😩 .' He reluctantly moved his hand away.
"Hmph." She snorted at him before turning her attention back to the babies.
"Sooo cute 😍. When you grow up we'll play together, okay?" Roxanna said as she poked astella's cheek.
"Abuu..abu."astella babbled at her.
'I think you will and up tormenting her instead ' Ashton thought.
A few years later
Astella sat on the ground with her brother Devon in the mansion garden looking at the plants in the flowerbed.
This days, their family has come to visit their maternal grandfather, the duke of Howard, Wilfred von Howard.
Astella continued to stare at the flowers for a long time but Devon didn't want to sit any longer and laid down on the ground. "Hey astel, What do you think will happen at our awakening ceremony next month?"
She also laid herself on the ground. "I don't know. And you what do you think?."
He fell into contemplation ." I think i don't want to awaken a combat type job 🤔 and you "
She looked at him and nodded.
"I feel the same🙄 😮💨"Astella said as she sighed.
They stared at the sky for some time but they were quickly brought back to reality by the sound of someone calling them.
"Young miss Astella! . . Young master Devon!..where are you? The master is looking for you!"
'Waah. . Where did this two run to!'
The butler wailed internally .
Astella and Devon looked at each other.
" it seems we didn't hide far enough. "Astella sighed.
Devon nodded.
"Where do you think we should go then?"Astella asked.
"Maybe to the small forest near the mansion. "Devon suggested.
"Okay ,let's go!"
"Hum."
The butler heard the two children voices and tried to stop them but those two quickly stood up and began to run 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ in different directions.
'Later I should tell the maids not to let the young miss wear pants otherwise it will always be difficult to catch her 😓 ." James though. As he ran after the twins he passed near the Knights training grounds and was stopped by Ashton.
