Chapter 34 - TOMMOROW, A SUNRISE (1)

DECADES AGO: THE LAND OF THE EAST SUN!

"We both seek perfection." Mother July's voice echoed throughout the chambers of an abandoned house. Clearly the bombings had done more damage than any sorcery would have, or so it would seem, however, July picked up on the residue of fragment energy pretty quickly deducing that it wasn't any of the bombs that had done this damage.

The walked through the roofless corridor, the cold air flinging her hair back. She opened a door that led to a room with no walls that sat in a farm that used to grow wheat. On a bench was a man with dirty blonde hair, unkempt, brown eyes and pale skin.

"More now than ever I wish for us to collaborate, Blake." She darted her eyes to each and every corner of the room.

"I'm not doing any collaboration with you July, I'd rather not involve myself with the witches."

"I am not the witches, I am just a witch. And all I asked is for your co-operation in the days that follow." She sat down, "I'd like to talk about the sensitive details of the plan as it pertains to your… endeavor."

 "?"

She looked at the body wrapped in bandages from head to toe that lay on the floor. On the floor were incantations for something.

"I'm progressing just fine." He pushed his hair back, "Even if I do help what would you want in return."

 "Nothing, dear Blake."

"I knew it." Blake chuckled, "You saying that just means you'll take anything, I know you witches. Trying to extort for anything you want."

"You say that but you're forgetting what might help you. I'll further what you've already done and in return I want you to go somewhere."

Blake hesitated for a moment, "Where?"

"There will be a star of hope that is soon to be born, troubling isn't it? I want him to become a witch."

"You can only be born a witch nowadays, the serum that made your kind was lost ages ago."

"True." She traced her fingers on the wooden floor following his incantations, "But you let me worry about that, all I need you to do is go there and look after him for me and in return I'll look into your little 'project' and see what I can do."

 "If I refuse?"

"Then I shall leave, although if your trying to use 'magic' and dark 'magic' to be more specific you'll need to give up something really important." She put her hands behind her back and gave an innocent smile, "Unless…"

Blake sighed as he completed the sentence, "Unless you're a witch, I know"

"Good, then we both undestand what must be done. After that I won't hold you to anything, you are a smart man Blake, I know you know what this means."

She walked up to him and extended her pinky finger. "So what do you say?"

Blake hesitated. 'Making a deal with this woman could get me in trouble is something were to go wrong and break our agreement, especially on my end. However, if I creat a contract that suits me more then I suppose…'

"Fine." He extended his pinky finger and interlocked it with hers.

BINDING, VOW & RESTRICTIONS

A contract was made, there was no turning back for dear old Blake, but if this worked then maybe… just maybe his world would come back.

"So where am I going?" He asked as July left.

"Oh, an island country just East of here, Loliwe."

She closed the door behind her and left Blake plotting his next agenda.

PRESENT DAY!

Snow white hair, emerald green eyes, a naked body covered in black tattoos. His skin was peach, and his lips were a light red. He had a round face with feminine features such as long eyelashes and a well defined nose. His nails were cut short, which didn't match up well with his long unkempt hair that stretched from the crown of his head to his knees.

That is how Catherine would have described the man standing before her. What had happened for him to get there was something she sadly couldn't have even told you. A creature that resembled a dog, but much bigger, with claws and sharp teeth and cut through the eldest sister's flesh and bones leaving her lying helplessly on the ground as she bled out.

The moment the creature disappeared this beautiful looking man appeared before her.

He stared in her direction, he couldn't see her but he could tell someone was present. He then cast his eyes onto Gil, who's body was getting colder and colder by the minute. With no understanding of what was happening, the man wondered whether they boy on the floor was the cause of his revival. If so it would be rude to leave him there, then again the woman whose insides spilled out was evil. He could tell by her aura.

He picked Gil up carrying him on his back. But this boy wasn't like that, was he?

In an instant the man arrived at the great door, he then turned around one more time and stared at Catherine.

"Are you coming?" His voice was soft and tender, unlike most of the white men she had met this one had a different air about him. His eyes were warm and inviting and his voice was kind.

Tears were still in her eyes when she said this, she didn't know if he heard her or rather she didn't care as long as somehow the feelings she was proposing reached him.

 "Thank you!"

14 MINUTES BEFORE SUNRISE!

With that they were now on the move following the hallway back the way they had previously come. The man didn't seem to know his way but instead followed the rubble hoping to find his way out of their. Even with Gil still on his back he still moved not slowing down for even a minute and finally arriving within the house limits.

Catherine noticed something, this time the hallway wasn't jumbled up, it was just a straight walk towards the door that exited. The man wasted no time and sprinted out the door. The sun's rays barely peeked over the horizon as the two made there way to the gate where, to no one's surprise, Blake was waiting for them and even held the gate wide open.

"It's good to see you, Akame." He said with a smile.

"The pleasure's all mine." He said making it out of the gate with Catherine not so far behind.

"With 12 minutes to spare, how did you know you were suppose to come out here? Did Gil tell you?"

"Gil? Is this him?" Akame looked at the bloody man he carried on his back.

"Well, it is. So he didn't?"

"I just assumed, the place was sketchy."

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Blake laughed, "Its good to see your senses haven't dulled. Now let's go get you some pants. What do you say?"

 "No objections here."

The two of them began walking back, with Blake leading the way.

"Hey!" Catherine shouted, "How do you two know each other." But it seemed as though her voice hadn't reached them. "I hate being dead." She shrugged.

In the corner of her eye she caught a figure walking from the house. "Its him, the man with the cross on his face."

The man looked at her before placing his finger on his lips.

"Shhh!" He whispered from a far.

"Hey! Are you coming?" Akame shouted looking back.

"Catherine, are we ready to leave?" Blake supported.

"Huh?" Catherine was shocked, "You guys can see me. Have you been ignoring me this entire time." She ran over as the three of them headed home, back to the village.

BACK HOME!
