Synopsis
In most universes, Azmuth created the Omnitrix as his greatest achievement. A device meant to promote peace, understanding, and connection between species. In this universe, he saw another truth. He saw how the Omnitrix could be used in battle. How fusion, adaptive armor, and endless DNA could turn one user into something unstoppable. And it frightened him. So Azmuth did something he never planned to do. With the help of Dr. Psychobos, he built a countermeasure. Not a weapon. A safeguard. The Nemetrix. Instead of storing alien heroes, it holds their natural counters. Predators. Rivals. Species shaped by evolution to hunt Omnitrix transformations. When it was finished, Azmuth sent it far from Galvan space. To Earth. The Nemetrix came into the neighborhood of Nico Lee. The moment he touched it, it bonded to him. It did not just give him power. It gave him purpose. Find the Omnitrix user. Observe him. Judge him. Stop him if necessary. At fifteen, Nico begins a road trip with his sister Bianca, following the trail of a ten-year-old boy with a watch that can change the galaxy. Along the way, they help people. They stop criminals. They face threats no one prepared for. And when someone cannot be stopped… They do not wake up again. --- MC: Nico Ship: Nico × Charmcaster

Chapter 1 - Then There’s Where 10

It was a normal night in a quiet neighborhood.

Stars covered the sky. Summer vacation had just begun.

On the roof of one house sat a fifteen-year-old boy with white hair and red eyes. He wore a black shirt and black pants. He yawned.

[Insert image here]

This was Nico.

He turned a Rubik's cube in his hands, moving it without looking.

"I am so bored."

He leaned back on the rooftop.

"I hope something interesting happens."

A scream cut through the night.

Nico froze.

He moved at once, slipping through the window into the house.

He crossed the hallway and entered the living room.

His mother stood there, holding a kitchen knife.

In front of her were two alien-looking creatures.

Nico looked at them.

One looked like a crab. The other looked like a frog.

He stared at them.

'What are they.'

They were speaking in a language none of them understood.

The smaller one tapped a device.

"Hello, earthling. I am First Thinker Azmuth."

Nico just looked at him.

"Is that supposed to mean something?"

Azmuth blinked.

The frog-like one leaned forward, clearly offended.

"I am one of the greatest minds in the galaxy," Azmuth said.

Nico nodded once.

"Okay."

The taller crab-like alien crossed his arms.

"I am Doctor Psychobos. We are here because something of great importance has arrived on this planet."

Nico glanced at his mother.

She still held the knife. Her grip was tight, but her breathing had slowed.

Bianca stepped into the room, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"Why are there Pokémon in our living room?"

Psychobos opened his mouth.

Closed it again.

Azmuth raised a small device. A hologram flickered to life, showing a watch with a jagged, red symbol.

"This is the Nemetrix," Azmuth said. "It must be kept from misuse."

Nico looked at the hologram.

Then at the two aliens.

Then back at the hologram again.

"I see."

He paused.

"So… why is it here?"

Azmuth's expression tightened.

"Because I am out of time."

Azmuth looked at Nico.

"And because of that, I am giving it to you."

Nico looked between them.

"Wait. Stop. Why me?"

Psychobos answered.

"We scanned this planet to find the right human. One with the proper physical and mental maturity."

Azmuth raised his hand. A device materialized above it, glowing red.

"And now, we are giving it to you."

Azmuth and Psychobos nodded.

Then they vanished in a flash of blue light.

Silence filled the room.

Nico's mother looked at him.

"What just happened?"

Nico pinched his cheeks.

"Definitely not a dream. That's for sure."

Bianca spoke next.

"What's an Omnitrix?"

Nico shrugged, looking at the watch on his wrist.

"If this has predator DNA…"

He paused.

"Then the Omnitrix probably has the prey."

He looked toward the window, where the night sky waited.

"I guess we're going to find out."

Nico and Bianca sat on the floor of his room, the strange watch resting around Nico wrist like a tiny alien bomb.

Bianca tilted her head. "So… how does it even work?"

Nico tapped the symbol on the Nemetrix.

The dial lit up. A holographic shadow of a creature rose above it — tall, jagged, wrong in ways biology never intended.

Nico leaned back slowly. "…Yeah. That's probably how."

Bianca stared. "Press it."

Nico checked the glowing interface now hovering in front of him — lines of alien code scrolling like it was reading his thoughts.

He immediately shook his head.

"In my room? Absolutely not."

Bianca crossed her arms. "Coward."

Nico shot her a look. "That shadow had teeth where shadows shouldn't have teeth."

The watch pulsed once. Almost impatient.

A new line of text appeared in the holographic interface:

USER COMPATIBLE. NEMETRIX SYNCHRONIZATION COMPLETE.

Bianca leaned closer. "Did… did it just finish installing itself into you?"

Nico swallowed. "I think I'm the software now."

Silence.

Then, from the watch, a calm mechanical voice echoed softly:

"Nico Lee. Designated Warden. Directive: Observe the Omnitrix bearer. Judge. Intervene if necessary."

Bianca blinked.

"…You got drafted by a space watch."

Nico rubbed his temples. "I didn't even get an onboarding video."

The hologram shifted again — this time showing a small blue-and-white watch symbol.

Bianca pointed. "Is that… the Omnitrix?"

Nico stared at it.

"Yeah," he said quietly. "Looks like I've got a road trip."

Bianca smirked.

"Guess I'm coming too."

Later, in the living room.

Bianca stood proudly in front of their parents, hands on her hips.

"And that's why we need your car."

Their father blinked. Slowly.

He turned to his wife. "That's… not true, right? Nico is just making excuses to escape studying again?"

Their mother sighed, rubbing her forehead before looking back at him.

"No. I was there. She's not lying."

Their father stared at the two of them.

Then at the strange black-and-red watch still on Nico's wrist.

Then back at his wife.

"…I married into madness."

Bianca grinned.

"Welcome to the family."

Nico raised his hand slightly.

"For the record, I would love to be doing homework right now. This is worse."

Nico's father looked at him.

"How does this thing even work?"

Nico sighed, already tired of today.

"I'm going to test it. Far away. From normal people's eyes."

Bianca nodded like this was the most reasonable plan in the world.

"See? Responsible."

Their father opened his mouth. Closed it. Opened it again.

"…I miss when our biggest problem was bad report cards."

Their mother patted his shoulder.

"Those were peaceful times."

Nico glanced at the Nemetrix.

'Peace ended the moment they picked me.'

The watch pulsed again.

Like it agreed.

Their mother looked at them.

"Where do you plan to use that watch?"

Nico thought for a moment.

"Where's the nearest campsite with a forest around it?"

His father answered, still rubbing his temples.

"Two miles from here."

Bianca stood up immediately.

"Perfect. Dad, car keys."

Their father stared at her.

Then at Nico.

Then at the glowing alien watch.

"…I'm starting to feel like I've lost control of this household."

Their mother smiled far too calmly.

"You lost that years ago."

Nico looked down at the Nemetrix.

'Step one,' he thought.

'Figure out what I just got myself into.'

Nico and Bianca drove to the campsite in their father's car.

Once they arrived, they stepped out into the quiet forest. Crickets hummed. Wind moved through the trees.

Bianca looked at her brother.

"So. You ready?"

Nico took a slow breath, eyes on the Nemetrix.

"I guess."

They walked deeper into the forest. Bianca stopped a few meters away, giving him space.

Nico raised his arm. The watch felt heavier than before.

He pressed the symbol. A shadow of a creature appeared above the dial.

He swallowed.

"Let's do this."

He slammed the dial.

Red light swallowed him whole.

When the light faded, Nico was gone.

In his place stood a massive beast. A rock-plated rhinoceros beetle. Six heavy legs dug into the soil. A jagged horn curved forward. Purple armor like living stone. The Nemetrix glowed on its chest.

Bianca stared.

"…Wow."

Inside Nico's mind—

He stood in a red void.

No ground. No sky. Just endless crimson.

A heavy breath echoed.

Then another.

Nico turned.

The Crabdozer stood before him. Towering. Silent. Watching. Its red eyes burned like coals.

It took one step forward.

BAM.

The sound shook the void.

Nico's heart jumped—but he didn't run.

He stepped forward.

The Crabdozer stepped back.

Nico stepped back.

The Crabdozer stepped forward again.

Mirroring him.

Testing him.

Nico slowly exhaled, forcing his heartbeat to steady.

'Calm. Clear. Don't fight it. Don't fear it.'

He raised a hand.

The Crabdozer lowered its head.

Their foreheads almost touched.

Nico whispered, steady and quiet.

"Are you ready to listen?"

The beast's breathing slowed.

The void pulsed once.

And outside—

The Crabdozer's wild stance softened. Its legs settled. Its roar faded into a low rumble of acceptance.

Bianca blinked at the towering Crabdozer.

"…Can you speak?"

The creature shifted. Its horn lowered slightly. Then a rough, distorted voice came out, layered with a mechanical undertone.

"I don't think—"

The Nemetrix on its chest clicked. The voice cleared, stabilized.

Nico paused, surprised by his own sound.

"…Okay. So the watch translates for me."

Bianca put a hand on her hip, staring up at him.

"Good. Because charades with a six-legged tank would've been awkward."

Nico flexed one massive claw, testing movement. The ground cracked under his weight.

"Noted."

After a while, Nico turned back to normal.

Red light peeled away from his body. The forest returned to silence.

Nico dropped to one knee, breathing hard. Sweat ran down his forehead. His heart still beat too fast.

Bianca stood nearby, phone in hand.

"Ten minutes."

Nico looked up at her.

"So… that's how long it lasts."

Bianca nodded, then tilted her head.

"So. What was it like… transforming into that?"

Nico sat back against a tree. He stared at the watch.

"It wasn't like putting on a suit. Or controlling a body."

He tapped his chest once.

"It felt like stepping into a cage with a wild animal… and convincing it not to eat me."

Bianca raised an eyebrow.

"That sounds healthy."

Nico smirked weakly.

"Yeah. Next time I'm bringing mental armor."

Bianca sat down beside him, pulling a water bottle from her bag and tossing it over. Nico caught it and took a long drink.

The forest air felt colder now. Quieter.

Bianca watched him for a moment.

"So this thing really gave you a mission?"

Nico nodded, still staring at the Nemetrix.

"Find the Omnitrix user. Watch him. Judge him. Stop him if needed."

Bianca let out a slow whistle.

"So… superhero probation officer."

"More like… cosmic accountability."

She nudged his foot lightly with hers.

"And you're okay with that?"

Nico thought about the red void. The Crabdozer's eyes. The feeling of something ancient and hungry sitting inside his mind, waiting for him to slip.

He closed his hand into a fist.

"I don't know yet. But I was chosen for the watch. So I'll do it right."

Bianca smiled, small but genuine.

"Then I guess I'm coming too. Someone has to make sure you don't turn into a bug tank in public."

Nico chuckled.

"Fair."

The car ride home was quiet.

Streetlights passed in slow rhythm through the windows. Bianca kept her eyes on the road, one hand on the wheel, the other drumming lightly to music only she could hear.

Nico sat in the passenger seat, flipping through the shadows on the Nemetrix dial. Each silhouette felt like a promise. Or a warning.

He counted them once.

Ten.

He stopped when the dial's color shifted from gray back to red.

"I guess it's back online."

Bianca didn't look away from the road.

"It charges for five minutes. You stay transformed for ten."

Nico blinked.

"…You timed everything?"

Bianca shrugged.

"I like having data. Also, if you explode, I want to know the exact schedule."

Nico snorted.

"Comforting."

He leaned his head back against the seat, eyes on the watch.

Ten forms. Ten beasts. Ten minds to tame.

And somewhere out there…

An Omnitrix user.
